homophobia is about manliness, which has to be proved by sleeping with women. As I noticed even on this thread, it is the male posters who have problem with men/man relatuionships. It sounds to me that they are threatened and afraind that of they find the male body attractive, they are not man enough. That is why I said it had little to do with sex per se, but more with the fear of one not being manly enough.
I am really frustrated that your post, which makes so much sense, is going largely ignored by the PFers :(

I think it's beyond the comprehention of some PFers. And of course calls for the acknowledgement and confrontaction of fears. Which is never easy. Especialy for manly men. Who might not be entirely comfortable with their own sexuality
