Language / Sharing polish stuff [9]

I have been searching for materials while my book (301 polish verbs) doesn't arrive... And I found this book (link after). I don't know if it's good or not cause I'm downloading it yet....

The site is in portuguese, but if you click on the book, it will open another page (in english) to download it....

clidomancia.blogspot.com/search/label/Polonês

Any other materials? I'd be glad if someone could share some basic verbs like WANT/CAN

PS: if it's necessary, I'm learning polish cause I have a polish girlfriend :) and I'm going to meet her family next june.. So DOWN TO WORK! :D

Love / Helping a brazilian hopeless guy ;) [5]

Hei!

My name is Lucas, 19 y.o. and i'm brazilian... I'm studying to get in the university and i'm also an english teacher (i teach portuguese for foreigners aswell)...

I met a polish girl on skype more or less 1,5 years ago.. She's 18 and we decided to date since july... I even sent her silver rings and stuff :) we are really happy with all our efforts to be together... I'm going to Poland visit her next june 14th.. 30 days in poland with her will be just awesome...

Blablabla, i'm here to ask for help... I really think she's the one i want by my side during my whole life and i was thinking that i should stay in Poland and never come to Brazil anymore, unless for vacations or such (btw, i hate brazil)... We were checking some prices, and it wouldn't be sooooooo expensive to live in Poland, THOUGH i would need some kind of part-time job in poland to help my living... I tried several ways to get a scholarship, but it was useless... Nobody is going to give me that....

So, any ideas on how i could make my life in poland? :/
I'm 19 and i'm not much skilled... But i could work with translations maybe??? portuguese, english, spanish and finnish perhaps?

Hope you guys come with ideas for me :)

Love / Polish-Islam Relationship Union [450]

I really don't know where you get this - of course raped woman is not punished - for what?! If somebody come up to you and hit you on the head, you think you're going to be punished?! I really don't understand who has a perverted vision.. Of course attackers will be punished not a victim.

Now i come into the conversation :)

Not really.... In all islamic countries, if a woman is raped.. She must gather at least 4 witness to open a judgment....

With that said... Women there are raped even by their uncles/cousins and nothing happen... Really, who is going to gather 4 witness of a rape? :/

Love / How to go about dating a polish girfriend? [27]

Isn't it a bit senseless to choose the nationality of the girl you want to meet?

I mean... They will just show up and you will fall in stupid love again and again, is it about nationality? :/ Someone will just show up... I'm sure you can find a decent british girl :)

Love sucks btw

Love / IS MY BOYFRIEND CHEATING? I went to Poland with him. [158]

If i were you.. I'd show up on this meeting he arranged with that fake girl (you) just to have the pleasure to see his pathetic face.... then i'd throw the ring on his face and turn back... if you don't have a ring, just go and try to enjoy his helpless face and wait to see what he's going to say...

DON'T GIVE HIM A SECOND CHANCE... DON'T BE HIS FRIEND!!!!

My last advice: Turn yourself into lesbian... Major part of men are not worth your efforts and feelings...

DON'T GIVE HIM A SECOND CHANCE

as you said... you are beautiful and young... he's not the first nor the last one to cross your life...

DON'T GIVE HIM A SECOND CHANCE

Nice RJ_cdn :) Thanks

More words are welcome here, if someone has any :)

If someone know.. there is a way to ask things? For example in english: DO/DID/WILL YOU <VERB>?

Can someone put the cases in polish? :) thanks again

I'm starting this list to help everybody who needs it :)

I'm just asking for some pole to answer if I can just choose the word i want the most, or if there are cases to use them... It would also be cool if poles would give examples using those words... Because verbs are the main word of every phrase... And when you know how to conjugate verbs, everything becomes easy.... Plus i have a polish gf and some friends from polska and PF to help me... So i don't need much more than a book filled with verbs...................... if people from the forum would help me.............. i hope :)

Language / Useful and the most common words in Polish [50]

Michal wrote: What on God's earth is the point of people asking how to say 'Happy New Year' in Polish when they can not even pronounce the letters? Similarly, what is the point of looking at pages and pages of verb formations if you can not even repeat the first fifteen letters of the polish alphabet.

Michal... you are just mistaken... I know how to pronounce things in polish cause i have online classes to correct my way of saying... So far, i'm able to sing musics from Feel, Monika Brodka, £zy...

I don`t want to be rude... but i'm trying to make a list of helpful words to help everybody who looks for something in polish... if you don't want to help, don't mess up with it... thanks

Btw... if the person cannot spell words in polish, then it's their problem... But i can and i'm asking for help (since i just have got this verbs book), and as far as i know, there are lots of ways to use each word... Just like finnish...

Love / What is Sexy to men and women in Poland? [101]

Fat wallet

That's bad :(

Btw... if you want a nice smile and probably white one... you will find it in Brazil... Unfortunatly brazilians smile too much, and they don`t have a reason to do that.. in my opinion :)

Language / What's the difference (verbs question)? [14]

Guys.. I have some doubts on verbs... So i'll post here whenever i have doubts about it...
To begin with:

VERB TO READ (czytać/przeczytać)

czytam
czytasz
czyta
czytamy
czytacie
czytają

Good.... it was the present form... but in the past form i can use either CZYTAĆ or PRZECZYTAĆ!!!! how does it works???

For example: if i say JA CZYTA£EM.... or JA PRZECZYTA£EM.... What`s the difference between those???? And why i can't PREZCZYTAĆ in present??? (ja przeczytam)

Thanks for the help :)

PS: if that helps, my book says that czytać is imperfective, and przecytać is perfective... I don`t know the difference :)

Dzięki guys :))))

Language / What's the difference (verbs question)? [14]

and you should start learning it ASAP, because most verbs in Polish exist in pairs perfective/imperfective :)

I see :D Could you explain me or indicate some website to do so???? Didn't find any references :) Thanks

I was reading is ja czytałem (without finishing the book or whatever you were reading) and ja przeczytałem would refer to something that you read through and finished.

Got it Michał :) Thanks

z_darius

Thanks to you too :)))) I understood the ways of asking, though i must know what's the difference between perfective/imperfective :) Thanks

Language / Share Perfective and Imperfective Polish verbs [105]

Napisałem = perfective
Pisałem = imperfective

Can i generalize and say that:

perfective = finished actions
imperfective = not finished actions.... I mean <verb>+ing

Can i generalize like that?????? :)))))
