Life / Why are Polish people so ruthless? [87]

To make a statement like that is quite unfounded and without an substinance at all.

Unfounded? In what way? I've met loads of people here who are unbelievably rude and arrogant it has nothing to do with me as a person, Ask anyone who's met me on here and they'll vouch for the fact that I always go out of my way to make friends with people etc and am very polite and sociable.

I didn't say all people, just quite a lot.

UK, Ireland / English tossers give Brits a bad name in Poland [139]

Im not trolling, I just get sick of comments about the British and how phucking terrible we are!

Poles are a fine nation of people to talk, At least we Brits have manners and smile once in a while.

UK, Ireland / English people attitude towards Poles? [761]

I seriously used to think that poles were a nation of hard working dilligent and honest people till i moved here and discovered the half arsedness of their work, especially in the construction industry, I thought that the majority of people here would be honest when in reality they are simply trying to get one over on other people and continuously trying to rip people off.

Obviously not all but the quality of work done here is shocking and nowhere near up to British standards (and definitely nowhere near up to german standards)

People with an education are generally fantastic here, ie doctors, lawyers, and businessmen but the average man on the street seems to be trying to con someone out of something all the time.

Love / My Polish girlfriend checks my mobile phone all the time [70]

hehe, my Polish girlfriend I was with last year did this. I had fallen asleep and she woke me up saying it was over and all that, as she had checked my messages. I had been flirting with some girl, but actually was nothing serious. I remember trying to get the phone off her and she fell on the bed, then she her ran downstairs, in a house full of Polish guys, almost getting me beaten up in the process. haha. Luckily I guess they realised the value of not trying anything and not running the risk of getting a conviction here and that :) I learnt from then always to keep my phone out of reach or locked from girlfriends. and also not to try too hard to get your phone from a polish girl if she's determined to hang onto it :p

I'm sure you would have responded in a similar way if you discovered messages of that nature on her phone?

i was flirting with a girl from the internet that i had never met,

Christ thats sad...

Love / My Polish girlfriend checks my mobile phone all the time [70]

An honest man has nothing to hide,

I don't know if my gf checks my phone but if she did she would be bored stupid with all the pictures of cars and funny signs, She is the only person who actually charges my phone though.

Work / Driving Jobs in Poland? [4]

Depends where you are planning on moving to but if you are coming to somewhere like poznan couldn't you buy a big luxury saloon car, ie jag xj whack it on lpg and get a taxi license and start up as an english speaking taxi driver ferrying businessmen around who are attending the trade fairs?

Could possibly be quite lucrative.......

Food / Bad food experiences in Poland [30]

had a bad experience with what they ate or drank?

I have a bad experience every time i eat polish food its mostly vile,

On the other hand the polish drinks are sublime and the only problem comes when i consume too much and end up trying to speak to god down the big white telephone from the bathroom or even worse someone elses bathroom.

Life / WHATS THE CURRENT PRICE PER LITRE.. for diesal and benzine..? [12]

Probably not...might take a bit of easy start to get it fired into life....I have heard that cooking oil can bugger up the seals and o rings in some diesal pumps...Seems the older and less refined diesal engines run the best on cooking oil...

Oh definately my friend gets allsorts of idiots who've put it in a common rail engine all the time, Ends up with them having to have all the injectors and the pump replaced.

Older stuff is fine though, early 90's PSA engines and the older VAG stuff seems to cope quite well.

Life / WHATS THE CURRENT PRICE PER LITRE.. for diesal and benzine..? [12]

cooking oil from makro used to be cheaper than diesel, I used to run my old peugeot on 100% veg oil and it worked a treat but was a bit of a bastard to start in the winter, I suspect at -20 you would have no chance.

Life / WHATS THE CURRENT PRICE PER LITRE.. for diesal and benzine..? [12]

I want to get it finished but funds seem to be low at the moment and had a few problems with the engine, Need to decide what to do with it really, Ideally I would love to throw a couple of grand at it in order to make the ultimate bike engined street weapon but things are on hold at the moment, Busy with work too :(.

7.5 litre range rover that sounds epic :) is it similar to a bowler wildcat or something?

Love / Help-my polish bf doesn't fancy me! [94]

men: what is more important to you? Bjs or cars wrapped in ribbons as birthday presents for you?

I like both so all is good, I do wish my girlfriend bought me the db9 with cream leather as opposed to black leather though, life is hard......

UK, Ireland / Britain's bad teeth [77]

Usually poor people have bad teeth but not normal people. Dental car in the UK is however horrific and very very expensive compared to continental europe and waiting times for dentists are very long on the NHS.

for example i paid £70 for a filling a few years ago which fell out and cracked the tooth and it only cost me £30 to have it fixed in Poland.

UK, Ireland / What is the best period to go to work in the UK? [18]

Why when someone hears that a polish person wants to work in the UK do they immediately assume they want to work in a supermarket or in the hospitality industry?

as for when the best time to find work is it depends what you want to do the job market is quite tight at the moment with half decent jobs few and far between.

Life / Supermarkets in Poland not accepting card payments [12]

This is utterly ridiculous, me and the G/f went to do a weeks shopping in Biedronka of all places (we've been relegated from Auchan since the maluch caught fire :( ) thought that i'd pay for it on card as most normal people do only to be told that they don't accept cards,

How much business must they lose as a result of this?
