News / POLES STILL NEED VISAS TO THE U.S.A!! [84]

You cannot tell me that is being a US lapdog...that is self preservation.

It's becoming a target for Russian nukes and possible gas/oil cut-offs (are USA going to secure Poland's energy supply continuity ?). Besides this shield has not got any proven real effectiveness. It's a tremendous business for American armament industry. Poland is a mere puppet here (sadly by its own wish).

Poland buys what it can afford. How many F-22s (were they for sale) do you think Poland could buy? One? Maybe two?

You buy equipment by means of _tenders_. Who said it would be F-22 ? And Americans failed to carry on with the offset in time, despite of being bound by the deal.

News / POLES STILL NEED VISAS TO THE U.S.A!! [84]

The funniest thing here is that our government insist on being American pet dogs (see: buying old F-16s, 'Missile shield', engagement in USA's little dirty oil wars, etc.).

UK, Ireland / Polish brands in England [12]

'Fart' in Polish slang means 'a stroke of luck'. But apparently it prevents any company with that name to expand in English-speaking countries :)

Law / Got my Polish residency [22]

"Are you a criminal"?

"No"

"Very well, here are your papers"

Just as I thought. Here's a piece of advice - don't expect that Polish police will be there when you need them.

UK, Ireland / All That Manners Business [I'm Polish, moved to UK as an au pair.] [87]

Well Daisy I could do that but next time I see her it will be so awkward situation and as soon I say 'how are you' I will feel like an actress.

I feel rather strange when I'm greeted like 'Alright ?', even though I've been quite a long time here, but I caught myself several times greeting people like that :) It's not that horrible after all. It's just another form of Cześć.

Love / Need advice re: Polish man. What can I do to make him interested? [50]

I thought Bartolome Jones was a Welshman through and through.

Not many pirates were Polish. There even could be no Polish pirates. In that case someone has to start :)

Youre not Polish, you dont write polish, dont act polish, you cant be polish can you?

Who am I then ? Polish - Non-Polish - Briton - Non-Briton ?
I just prefer to by myself.

UK, Ireland / THE POLES OF CHESTER, DRINKING & CRIME [5]

It must be very heart breaking and disappointing when they find themselves in a sh*t hole.

Naaah, it's just increasing our survival skills :)

UK, Ireland / What is in Poland that England doesn't have? [142]

I hope you didn't use it to exterminate them...

I am tempted sometimes. But then all that fuss with removing blood stains, repairing bodywork etc. discourages me.
