New Balance do excellent running shoes, i have rarely paid over £100 for a proper pair of running shoes though..

It's is probably as szarlotka said Zion, the competition for sales in U.S and the U.K is so high, it naturally pusehes the prices down.. it's a pity for you but life i suppose.. Don't you know anyone in U.K who can get a pair for you?

I always moan about the UK, but when i'm living in another country i become quite defensive when people put the UK down.. I love the cultural differences of staying in various countries..

That's ok my job is very nice thanks, just worked away and will now be taking a break in France and Italy camping, then off to Cuba in August.... ;-)

Couple of nice bars on Granville St, Doohans is on your left and heading towards the bridge on your right a nice bar called Morrissey's.. Decent Guinness, staff and customers in both... Or on the corner of Robson and Granville a bar called Lennox where i met my then canadian girlfriend...ahhhhh
My local out of downtown was a lovely Belgium bar on Commercial drive... oh dear i seem to know all the bars, what a lush...
