First of all I already have two children with my ex-partner who I was with for 13 years. He was English and Italian so I already have children people look at. However, when people look at them they are thinking how beautiful they are. I have had men and women who are strangers come up to me in the street and in shops just to tell me how beautiful they think my son and daughter are. I am English born but my Mum is Black and Asian (Indian) and my dad is Asian (Indian), but from South America. The country they are from is also in the West Indies called Guyana. Also, often I have found that what is expressed as quite a normal attitude to an English or American person in terms of the way things are written, in this forum, it is sometimes totally taken out of context by some Polish people like yourself. My attitude is not over the top and anyone reading this who understands the English language would not consider what I said to be over the top. I am English and I live in West London. I live next to Hammersmith which probably has more Polish people than any other part of London if not England. My parents came from Guyana in South America which was a British collony, but I was born here. They went through the same things as immigrants, but probably worse as they were black. I do not think the Poles thankfully see signs on peoples front doors saying 'NO BLACKS NO IRISH NO DOGS' That was a common sight in this country in the 50's onwards.

To be honest I didn't even think about Polish immigration much until I met my boyfriend who is a Pole. London is my home and we are a city of people who are the most tolerant of other nations and cultures on this globe. The people who are zenaphobic, are in the minority. Most Londoners love foreigners coming here. I love the fact we are all different. I love the fact that when I am on the tube and a foreign person gets in my carriage, no one gives a damn. We are too busy to care about things like that. We have too much to do.

I have one complaint about SOME Polish people and Eastern Europeans and even my boyfirend who is Polish feels even more strongly about this than I do. Alot of Eastern Europeans come over here and look down on black and asian people and are extremely rascist. This maybe due to the fact that they come from a predominantly white country, with less multi-culturalism. I have been called ****** by more Polish people than any other group in London. The problem is the non-rascist white English population see us (black and asians born in England) as more British/English than you, because we were born here, have been here so long and intergrated with people more. Our language is English so there is no barrier there. Also the popularity of the black music culture allows for the intergration of black and asian youth, as there is a common interest amongst the young.

I just want to say that if you are going to come over here and make a life for yourself, then I welcome you with open arms BUT please respect ALL of the people who live in this country and leave your prejudice back at home.
