Try straty.pl. Go to zaawansone - then in miejscowosc type the village names and list of people appears.. it has pretty good info, such as DOB, mothers name etc..

You should check out moikrewni.pl - mapa nazwisk It says there are only 157 in Poland, mostly in the south east. You could see if any are on nasza-klasa.pl there are 77 Subiks on there. Maybe you could get some info that way.

I know how surnames can get anglosised/americanised which can change the way you think its spelt and pronounced
