Population is already in the negative... if you read all the infomations available from various resources. This is also visible among families.

Having children is somehow not popular among Europeans nations (I presume), and specially in East Europe (and Russia...the most famous among population decline).

However, it is not so easy to persuade people in this most personal of decisions. At the moment, it does not seem to become better...that is... a population balance (as I mentioned, we are in negative territory...a considerable margin).

Bringing in immigrants is a good idea only when they are capable and suitable. What I mean is that the immigrant should have real intention to be a Pole in his future (and for his generation). He must have the will to work, live and see the future in Poland. He should be stable (mentally), and have basic manners. That is to say, 'a good prospect', a good human being.

The Polish mentality is acceptable I think. People here are welcoming mostly. However, those with inferiority complex seem to be more violent (but this is common everywhere in the world). Also, if you talk about demography/population... by looking at families (relationships) around Poland, it does not seem that having many children (or any children sometimes) is thought of being important.

However... with less population we have more land. More wealth, and less people. It should be then that the remaining people can have more benefits. However, it has been prooved recently (living experience of Poland) that this is not the truth. Property prices are at their peak, food prices are so high! (there have been a few protests on such high prices....which seem so unreasonable).

Ya Crow. The politics plays a dividing role often. To share the slavic culture, tradition, history...is ok. But we need to assure that it will only be informative, not intisive. It will not be against anyone (even Germans), and it will not help harbour ill feelings against any people (even those you feel are very responsible).

In that thread, we can share history of how much slavs gave to mankind. On their ancient skills, where they come from, how they developed (cutting out the oppressions they faced...because this may hurt people who have nothing to do with it, but belongs to that particular country/race who will be blamed there). We can also share musical and instrumental biographies, history...etc.

We can speak there ... how slavs are spread across Europe and Northern Asia (Russia and Central Asia). We can welcome people to our history, our tradition, our countries and our hearts!

Let us be a source of unity and hope....instead of division and anguish.

You know friend....'AvJoeUK'... I would never have wished to read such a long introduction, if it would not have been such a touching one.

First of all... you have wonderful writing skills. This has helped me in my English (arguably the main reason for my presence in here).

Now just my reaction to it: Poland is not UK (and this is not to make you more hurt please...). We have all kinds of girls here... but the one who will sleep with you and be in the same flat with you (without any secure, official bond), is perhaps a playgirl (?) (a female version of playboy).

I dont know about the girls people look for in pubs/nightclubs and bars... Never looked for a girl there (because I know, people there are obviously not my time), but the girl who will just be this easy with me!...Is surely a mistake (if my aims are more stable, warm and true relationship).

The right girl would welcome you. And perhaps kiss you on your 5th/6th meeting... She might sleep with you after knowing you for atleast another year (live, not in msn). Or, better still, she would simply wait for a more firm ground (e.g. marriage).

Perhaps sex didnt happen between you (perhaps)... but, whatever happened was too bold and fast. Like a sudden flame on a matchstick.... it extinguishes as soon as its lit.

Choose a person, for her inner qualities --- not what she looks outside. Looks can dazzle you... just like looking at the bright day time sun can make you blind for a short time, and all else is not visible. But soon this dazzle is over...and truth appears infront.
