News / Poland Needs to Shape up [43]

I think you should hop on the next LOT flight and start walking around Warsaw and giving other Poles the same lines you've been rattling here. We'll see how much change you can do. Be brave, have faith, lol

“It is the responsibility of the patriot to protect his country from its government.”

from its government, not its religion.

If you are so patriotic, why don't you start your work of change right in the heart of it, and not some NY/NJ suburb?

people are getting smarter and finally realizing that god isn't real.

That is your opinion, not fact. There wouldn't be holy wars going on if people were thinking God wasn't real.

People are becoming less religious because they are lazy. They don't go to church because they dont want to follow the all the rules, they just want to follow some of them. Its not that people don't believe in God.

Life / I need general health care - can I pay ZUS monthly for this? [8]

heart bypass in Poland, waiting time was 1 week, in England I would be looking at 6 months

That is surprising, I didn't know the care in England was worse. My aunt in PL had a head tumor and waited 3-4 months for an MRI. Caring people with lack of funds & equipment.

What are you stupid ?

Are you telling me that it is a Vatican who tell all Poles what to believe ?

No, I think you are insane. Its not my problem that you got your ass kicked by skinheads. You ran like a sissy to come on a forum with a big mouth.

1.Abolish the catholic religion

Just a reminder who is stupid. To abolish a RELIGION you should take it up with the Vatican. Maybe you dont know that the Catholic religion is not really based out of Czestochowa??

You know little about Poland or its problems, and come here to post your radical bs

News / Poland Needs to Shape up [43]

This is the most ridiculous list ever. You've been way too long in NY to make these statements. Go try shaping up & cleaning up how filthy NY is first before your go fixing Poland.

1. the country is predominantly Catholic, and therefore religion plays a major role. To abolish the religion, call the Vatican, dont take it up with Poland

2. america's postal system is well worked only if you believe those crazy people behind the counter are normal. They are the laziest overpaid people in the country. the dont strike like the postal carrier does in poland, but how could they, most make over $25/hr, whats there to protest.

3. Poles get serious, lets start with this post, dont waste reader time with nonsense, we'll achieve more in the world that way :)

4. Alcohol is not the reason for Poland's poor.

Life / muslim community in poland [430]

Why must Poland or any other country accept you or learn to like you? You say if someone respects you, you will give them double the respect back. Maybe you should re-read some of your posts. Calling

very sh8t people

after people are simply replying to your posts and comments doesnt seem appropriate.

Isn't it a mystery that muslims aren't wanted or appreciated in sooo many countries, yet so many other nationalities do not face the same bias you do? Perhaps it has something to do with the way you act? So if you are demanding Poland or UK or whatever other country to change to accomodate you, perhaps you are the ones that should change and learn to live in your new surroundings and stop complaining and playing the race card.

UK, Ireland / POLISH TEENAGER MURDERED IN UK..man convicted [28]

Absolutely the muslim should pay the price, and I say in the same fashion of being stabbed and almost beheaded like he did to the girl.

The sad part is that these young polish girls leave Poland seeking not only jobs and money, but these new "experiences" so they can call back home and say "hey, do you know what I'm out doing in the big world". Its the girls usually from villages and small towns that get lost in the big world and dont know when they've overstepped their boundaries. I'm sure she got some warnings, some threats, she disregarded and kept pursuing in the name of love, to be different, to be unlike other Polish girls. I suspect she knew the risk involved.

Food / SALATKA JARZYNOWA [21]

I buy the ready marinated ones, and just chop them up. But I have to say, by adding these in, I think it shortens the life of the salatka.

USA, Canada / Polish style Thanksgiving in USA [11]

I think the most "thanksgiving" food item I wait all year for is that cranberry sauce. I don't recall every seeing it in PL.

USA, Canada / American Woman & Polish Man Want to Get Married-Advice for Getting to USA [16]

I stayed with him the 2 years because of the financial promise to the government, but my "term in hell" is almost over!!

You signed an Affidavit of Support with the original Green Card filing, it lasts 10years. If he becomes a public charge, you are responsible for him. So technically, your responsibility to the government is far from over.

If you've gone to his interview to get the conditions lifted, knowing you aren't in a committed marriage, then you've added to the fraud yourself. You should have stated in that interview that you found out the whole thing was a fraud, he'd get denied at interview, and they would start deportation proceedings.

I'm hoping I can smoothly divorce him and that US Immigration will do something about his fraud and send him back to his country.

Your chance was at interview to tell them. Once he has a permanent green card, there's nothing you can do.

USA, Canada / Polish style Thanksgiving in USA [11]

I guess we have the typical american stuff, turkey, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes. But my mom makes the best stuffing ever. She uses chicken liver, ground beef, onions & celery in it.

Oh man, I'm drooling just thinking about it!

We of course have our assortment of serniki, szarlotki for desert.

Law / My father is 100% Polish, mother is 0% Polish. Citizenship in Poland. [29]

no guns allowed

To tell you the truth, I didnt know that Poland didn't allow guns. My dad was in Poland over the summer, and said he went hunting, and that it had to be all on the hush hush. I didnt get it. I asked if he had his "permit" or whatever, and that's when I got the whole story of how guns aren't allowed, and even hunting riffle permits or whatever they are called are quite hard to come by. I guess we take for granted the freedoms we have, until we don't have them.

Don't most mathematicians go a little crazy at some point in their lives. Like Einstein?

Maybe jdawg just hit it a little early in life... with his famine idea.
Take a chill pill - the world will not collapse.

As for your big idea on citizenship in Poland saving you, maybe take a trip there first to see if its worth it... and look at the recent value of the PLN.

Love / Moved to Poland to my younger boyfriend, now got sick; he's got a new one [194]

he said last night he would "put me in hospital" if i went to speak to his parents

This dude is a psycho. Stop messing with him. Dont invite him over, dont play games of "he can come, I just wont be there" to egg him on to look for you or whatever. Say you want to end it and thats it. Leave, change your number, your address, return home. You can plot your letters or whatever when you are home and far away from this freak.

Life / Cosmetics in Poland [14]

Cosmetics in poland are expensive indeed. I'm amazed how someone making 1200zl goes out and pays 150-200zl for a face cream. Even basic creams like Loreal are 2-3 times more than in the US, and their prized and adored Vichy is cheaper online at vichy.com to the rest of the world than to them.

I haven't had any spa treatments, but when I did have a manicure & pedicure, it wasn't up to par with salons in the US. It was much quicker, not as detailed, and cost 3 times what I pay here.

Love / Moved to Poland to my younger boyfriend, now got sick; he's got a new one [194]

English woman in strange country with relationship problems turn to English speaking Polish forum for maybe help, advise, bit of understanding

She asked for advice, she got it. There are no excuses based on the polish culture, based on age or anything. The guy she's been with has used her and now wants to hide the past and move on, as problems in the relationship have surfaced. Maybe she'll return and post his name & contact info, for us to have a stab at him too! lol

What disappointment? Not the slightest bit. I'm happy as can be :)

My reaction is the way it is, because I'm sick and tired of hearing people fleeing ship the second something goes they way they didnt expect. Life is full of surprises, we must take and accept them, learn to deal and keep on going. Not flee ship cause the waters are a bit rough. They'll calm down. Love is strong enough to overcome many of lifes toughest things.
