Genealogy / Reply from USC - will they answer in Polish? [11]

What does USC stand for. Some government agency I would think they might. I send letters to websites that are all Polish sites but my email is English and get a response in English. A little more detail to your question would also be more helpful to answer you.

Life / Gift for good luck/protection...any ideas???? [11]

If you are giving a gift for protection and he is on the road alot driving then why nbot a St Christopher medal or pin he can attach to his visor. Perfect. There are lots of things similar if you go to a Catholic Bookstore/Gift shop and they can help you. If you are thinking of a horse show skip it. No one wants to carry that big heavy thing around...that wouold only be good for hanging inside your house and it is hug up no down.

Life / AMERICAN-STYLE SLOB CHIC IN POLAND? [24]

I have never heard of Slob Chic except here. The blacks wear Hip Hop style and then the whites wear Grunge which is outdated so I'm thinking you must mean the Hip hop style. Pants worn at the ankles, giant baggy t-shirts, hat sideways and backwards. tons of chunky Bling....y-U-K and they call that style. (well I guess it s a style but tasteless)

Life / AMERICAN-STYLE SLOB CHIC IN POLAND? [24]

You have underclass behaviour in all countires around the world. Maybe the vulgar behaviour also relates to the vulgar style of dress. Like youa re what you eat ...you also are what you wear. Clothes are only an extension of one's personality.

Genealogy / Polish symbol/Polish heritage for a tatoo [16]

A Polish Symbol but the shell if anyone looked at it would probably never be recognized or thought of as Polish.

How about the Mermaid Syrenka and check this foto.....using only what is inside the center circle and also rather than having it round change the lines of the circle to look like a banner keeping and not changing the inside of the circle. Or since you are from Olystn then use the shell in background with the mermaid forward.

UK, Ireland / WHY DO POLISH PEOPLE THAT COME TO ENGLAND CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH? [118]

Marek so how do you explain the bad grammar of your title of Topic

Should read Why can't Polish people that come to England speak English.

Are you foreign born???? I was just thinking of the quote of people in glass houses should not throw stones. People who are seeking a better life to not first think oh...I can't speak the language. They look to what is available to them and reach for the opportunity.

I can though understand any country being upset with the ones that don't make the effort once they arrive. Here we have Mexicans and Hispanics from other countires. PR, Cuba, Panama that refuse to learn the language and so we are expected to learn their language....not. They can learn as there are many free programs for them to do so.

Food / Top food products you'd want to see in a Polish shop [32]

kasza gryczana can be found if you look for it in many stores here where (dried) beans are located or in the health food isle. I would have thought it to be in with rice. but it is readily available here if you look. Sometimes in with the cereals.

Life / Halloween in Poland? [77]

Polish people dont dress up, this is sad day for Poles who go to cemetery to light candles on their ancestors graves, leave flowers and ask for peace for them. This is not day to celebrate like in USA, this is day to think about our ancestors and death.

You are confusing Religion with fun. Each has its own place. What's wrong with having fun. (0..0)
