News / Jews use American congress to pressure Polish government to PAY [63]

thanks to lame polish politicians

Who proved already not once, not twice, they do NOT serve Polish public. I am pretty sure Poland will pay this first time..... and an avalanche of OTHER whining reqeusts from Jews and others will follow very, VERY soon after.

USA, Canada / Moving out - question to peeps from LA [22]

there is so beautiful...

Indeed it is.

Actually I wouldn't mind moving to some cooler place - California is way too hot for me. I just got in to my office, taking subway, a walk to the station and walk from the station - I am soaking wet.

Not good.

Lets all move to Denver! lol

Krysia, you already lived there, so why don't you move first and do a little bit of reconnaissance for the rest of us who wanna move there, too? Hmmm? How 'bout that?

USA, Canada / Moving out - question to peeps from LA [22]

Why's that?

I need a change. First four years of this millennium I lived on three different continents. The next four years I lived in Cali, I need SOMETHING that is different.

Plus the new neighbour from downstairs is a socio who considers a yawn to be a very loud express of rudeness and hammers my floor to let me know about it.

The socio just made my decision of moving out easier.
Actually, a friend of mine has been talking me into moving to Denver :)), can't lie, it does look promising :)

Are you looking for an apartment or a house?

Apt, cannot afford da house :)

Thanks for da addresses, I shall try 'em up asap!

Dziękuję, Wilczyco!

Language / How do people mispronounce your Polish names? [60]

My name is Jadzia. someone pronounced it NINJA :)

My friend's surname is Kaczmarek and his boss pronounces it (at the end of the month when they are getting paid) as "cash my cheque"

I just died laughing :)

Drink a few piwa before speaking:)

HELL if I won't agree with that!

Grzegorz's post must have been deleted, though.

Anyways, my name is Grzegorz, too. And it is often prounounced as:
Greh-zeh-goh-rehz. That is if someone can get through first few letters.

Usually it looks like that:
-Grehz......
-Yeah, that's me!

USA, Canada / Moving out - question to peeps from LA [22]

Howdy,

Do you guys know any reliable source of housing/renting offers I could turn to?

I want to move out from my currrent apt, change the environment as well as many other things. I started looking for offers on Craig's List, but so far the only responses I got were the freaking scam ones ('Yeah, house is yours, pay me over Western Union cuz I moved out to Africa' and bullsh!t like that)

I don't need to move out NOW, but slowly wanted to browse some reliable and serious offers.

Can anybody help?
Thanks!

Greg

Language / Adjective and adverb comparison [19]

Then you will be riadiantly smiling only.

It doesn't suggest 'to each other' it rather suggest 'smiling to an audience' or whoever is going to watch you.

USA, Canada / American Woman & Polish Man Want to Get Married-Advice for Getting to USA [16]

Earlier this year

Krysia, he was given conditional card then, for two years, though.
In two years he'll have to prove that the marriage was valid, eg. joint taxt returns, living under the same roof, having kids, etc.

If he cannot prove it, he'll be kicked out of this country by a atomic kick. Unless he knows very expensive and good lawyer, he won't be able to prove that the marriage was valid and it will be considered a paper marriage.

I would suggest you take some steps, too, to prove that you didn't mary the guy for money, that it was real love from you and he was playing you along all the time. You know that paper marriage is a felony... you can get into trouble yourself.

Of course don't do joint taxes with him, prove that he moved out as soon as he was given a card, etc.

Then give me his address, I'll break his legs...

------------------

Not without problems? What do you mean?

Hey Wilczyco :))

It took whole year, becasue we were in special situation: our addresses are different, for we don't live together for a long time now, and it raised a red flag immediately.

We had tons of stuff to prove we did get married because of love, though, like photos, tickets to Poland, joint taxes, joint bank accounts, letters, post cards etc.

Normally, when a couple lives together and is simply a married couple, the 10-year (after 2 years period) card is sent over mail. We had to attend second interview, one that I was scared of, but even though we're not together any more, due to our stuff we had from the past, the interview went just fine.

Krysia, if the dude cannot prove any of the above, he's ass is already cooked.

XO to Krysia and Wilczyca :))

USA, Canada / American Woman & Polish Man Want to Get Married-Advice for Getting to USA [16]

Did everything for the loser and he just used me to get to the US

Aww.... I am sorry to hear :(

I got to the us of a as a tourist, too. We got married soon after, I got my first 2-year visa about 6 months later (work permit I received almost immediately).

Then when 2-year period was over I had to apply for I-752 removal of conditions - which was granted (not without problems).

But, to advice on the topic, I would say what Cleo said - apply for any kind of visa (your bf, Britt) and get married in the US. You can also apply for K1 visa for your bf - when he is granted it, you'll have to married within 90 days in the US.

Good luck!

Language / Polish letters Alt-codes... Anyone? [60]

Regular keyboard has Polish letters placed as they are placed on a regular Polish typing machine where ;'][/., are.

That's why one should use programmer's Polish keyboard, where all Polish letters are accessed by using right ALT and a letter (alt+s for ś)

Did even make sense here?

History / More Revision of Historical Fact in Ynet News Israel (Poles engaged in slaughter of Jews?) [72]

Judging from your posts, you must be very young, but wait few years, you're be able to grow your own beard. That's what happens to little boys when they reach certain age.

Your mum had a library and stupid polish cleaner who dropped things down the john? What's the connection? Is that your usual train of thought? Figures.

Apart from fetishes about bearded men you're also have one about toilets, it seems.
Just don't drink water out of it.

It would be more exciting to know which nationalities can't.

lol
axactly.

Harry, my dear researcher, show me a country, ANY country that has no antisemites in its population.

Go ahead, enlighten me.

Edited 2.
And show some numbers. % Jews here, % nasty attacks here.

And skip Japan, China, Madagaskar and Antarctica.

Edited 1.
You know what? Keep those countries in yours list, too. That'd be more entertaining.

History / Poles executed in Warsaw '1939-44' [112]

there are two points here, firstly when i mentioned the Pilots i was refering to talking about history in a positive light, when i was talking to you i was refering to your comments :)

My comment was sarkastic. People who fought for Poland, for ridding the occupier off their land were killed, chased like dogs, tortured for years after the war, today they are presented as vicious bandits whos only hobby was to kill Jews.

And that's why the Poles are talking about the past. No-one, NO-ONE would agree 'ok, so ... OK. AK soldiers were bandits. Now, next topic: Polish concentration camps. Ok. Let's agree. Poles invented and manned CC. Ok. Next topic, shall we? Poles were worse than Nazis....'

That's what Poles are accused of. As long as this stinking sewage from the example runs down the street, as long the Poles will have their right to 'moan'.

History / Poles executed in Warsaw '1939-44' [112]

Why not talk about your brave pilots who flew in the R.A.F or those who were involved in the 'underground war' in an occupied Poland, instead of victims this victims that, germany this russia that!!!!???

yeah in the 1930's not in 2008 :) let's remember people what year were in here, were not in the middle of occupied Poland were in the middle of a prospering, growin Poland :)

make up your mind

History / Poles executed in Warsaw '1939-44' [112]

prefer to cry about the past rather than look to the bright future of your country???

More than happy to do so

move on, myself included, if not for the fact that somehow perception of WW2 Poland is being changed

This is why the Polish people will continue to present their version of events. If you call it moaning, so be it.

When the c*r*a*p like Poles were worse than Nazis, willing participats in killing Jews, responsible for holokaust, ones that allowed it to happen etc, etc, and bulls*it like this and when history will be clarify, once and for all, there will be no need for dwelling about past century.

London don't cry and continaully talk about the Blitz

bacause no-one is accusing the Londonians(?!) of being willing participants of the Blitz, helpers of the Nazis and all this BS.

See the difference?

that was a laughable attempt to participate in a discussion without having nothing to say.
