UK, Ireland / Postage from Poland to England - is it expensive for a Brit? [6]
Well to give you some sort of an idea i just recently sent a 1kg parcel from UK to Poland which cost me £12 (secure delivery) I have heard that its a bit more from Poland to UK, but i doubt there will be to much of a difference.

Life / Stupid question i know - is post delivered in Poland on a Saturday? [17]
That would be a surprise i'm sure, but something tells me i would get the biggest slap of all time lol. Hmmm is Krysia talking from experience i wonder;-).

Thanks telefonitika, the thing is, its a surprise, so i cant let her know about it, the only reason i asked this question is because the 4th day would be this Saturday, and i dont think she will be home at this time. Its good to know it will only take 3 - 5 days, iam sure last time i sent a package it took a little over 2 weeks, must of been simply unlucky, as i always seem to be. Thank you again.

A few days ago i sent a package to a friend in poland, i was told it should be delivered in 4 days, from UK... this was a surprise, i expected maybe 2 weeks lol. But i would like to know if in Poland the postal service actually deliver on Saturdays, i expect they dont on Sundays like everywehere else, but some countries do deliver on Saturday and others dont... so does Poland?

yeah you say they have money but from what i saw most of them didn't, i could tell this from the clothes they were wearing and their cars.

Ok... so i visited Poland a few weeks ago and saw a lot of things most of them beautiful if you know what i mean;-) but one of the strange things i saw was that a lot of young polish girls seemed to be with older guys... when i say older i mean around 10 years older or so, maybe a little less but always atleast 5 years older. This is weird, you never see this in england... never! So why is this cos there has to be some reason and i cant think why?

i have thought the same but iam curious as to when Poland may join the euro, i would of thought it would happen within the next 5-10 years. If Poland does join the euro then i would also believe this would make most poles to reconsider coming to England to work as the currency would be the same.

News / The polish Zloty getting stronger versus British pound? [15]
Yesterday i noticed that the British pound was now only worth 4.6 zoltych, this is 1 zlotych less than 2 years ago, and today i heard that this is actually causing some poles to return home (how many i dont know?) as they can also now get better jobs than before with better pay. So here's 3 questions for you:-).
1. do you think the zlotych will continue to get stronger? 2. would this be enough to make you think of returning home? and 3rd just how better is life in poland than say a couple of years ago?

To be honest luhif... i dont know coz like i said im in the exact same situation as you with my girl, i am 23 and also somewhat shy around her so its gonna be hard for me too but i know i will have to do this SOMEHOW lol.

Good to hear it... just remember not to make any big leaps mate. When you go in april one of the first things you should do is go for a quiet drink (not coffee) in the evening somewhere to talk, and remember you will have to make the first move (maybe not on the first night though???)... women rarely do this themselves.
who knows 2 years from now maybe you will tell us you are both gonna get married... good luck and all the best;-)

dont worry luhif... its not as if she was going to tell you that she loved you or anything. I just sent flowers to a polish girl that i love (im in the EXACT same situation as you) and i only expect a thank you message and to be honest iam happy with that:-). Just keep talking to her and do what londonchick said;-).
1 question though... when is she coming back??? coz when you meet her at the airport dont forget to bring flowers for her;-)
or better yet maybe you should visit her for a weekend coz it sounds like she likes you and would appreciate this:-)

This may sound dumb but i know its happend before so i have to ask.... did you use interflora to send these flowers??? if so i hope you left your name on the card with whatever you wrote with these flowers otherwise she wont know who there from:-(
oh and dont get nervous just yet... she may be soo shocked that she is still thinking how to respond:-)
ohh and why did you say that she "probably" recieved them by now???... did you ask for them to be sent for today coz womans day is tomorrow.

well... it sounds like she really likes you from what you say, but maybe she is waiting for you to make a move first... you know what woman are like they rarely make the first move themselves... so ask her out for a drink or something and see what happens. But like plk123 said DONT rush anything, i myself rushed into my current relashionship and iam still trying to recover from the slight damage that i did. Good Luck
