UK, Ireland / Anti-Polish sentiment of England [253]

YANTA, dear I think you are on the wrong forum. Poland is Catholic not Muslim.

If you want to spout your anti Muslim propaganda go visit a Muslim forum.

The BNP is a stupid party who will never get into power, they are using people's fear of the unknown and people's insecurities to propel themselves into power and fame.

But thats ok when your all forced into islam you can cry later. BTW alote of you can't even comment on how great multicultralism is because YOU don't live it everyday.

YANTA, it is you who is brainwashed.

As for not living in a multicultural society, I have lived in the UK for the past 30 years. ?????? What is your point? Do you not benefit from living in a multicultural society as well?? Do you not have Indian takeaways when out with your mates? Do you not appreciate the help you get from doctors and medical staff of Asian or otherwise origin?

Can you honestly say that you have never met any interesting, worthwhile people who happened not to be of British origin/white? Do you think people should be judged upon their nationality, colour etc. or rather on their personal values, intelligence, character?

The main problem I have with the BNP party is that it spreads hate and intolerance. It is basically like this: if you are white and your grandma and grandpa have been born British then you are one of us. If the answer to the above question is no then you are one of them.

BTW I also saw that article in the Daily Mail and it was 5,000 not 7,000 according to the paper. Secondly, being born in Britain does not make anyone automatically British. To have British citizenship one parent must be British and the parents must be married.

I think you will find that the overwhelming majority of these babies were born to parents whose both parents were Polish. I guess the reason they had them here rather than in Poland was because whilst living in Poland they could not afford to expand their families. Over here, they have work and they can perhaps see a future for themselves.

no, no, no, it's 5,000 not 7,000

And yes most Polish babies are blond with blue eyes and little almond faces. But babies are just gorgeous whatever their origin.:)

BNP is wholly opposed to immigration and the integration of white British and non European people. What about all the white-black mixed marriages in this country and the children born of those marriages?

Let me ask you a question: what exactly is your interest in this board? Since you support BNP you must support their ideals and therefore you must be anti immigration. So you must also be anti-Poles since I am sure you are aware many Poles on this board are in the UK.

As I said before I am opposed to lumping people together on the basis of their colour, race, nationality or religion. How many white British criminals has this country had? Your jails are brimming over not with immigrants but with your own people. How can you judge people without knowing them?

maybe that's because you are not explaining it very well. And how do you know I am a woman? I could be a man hiding behind a woman's id just to fool you clever men out there.

Well if you are half Polish that makes one of your parents an immigrant and you not 100% British so what are you going to do? Leave Britain? How come your culture is OK but not other immigrants?

Yes I am 100% Polish.

Life / Situation of women in Poland and the society [25]

there is pressure from family to marry but I think that also depends on where you live. In the capital women are more independent.

Resist the pressure, listen to what your head is telling you but follow your heart.

What are you talking about Dulciana? I am not a BNP supporter, are you?

The point I was making was that I could be a man or a woman - how do you really know who is really behind the post?

whatever you think about Manser and what he says he did you have to give him full credit for being 100% entertaining. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread and his posts which are hearbreakingly honest.

I'm sorry you think it was worthless me posting. I am actually one of the people who offered you advice on the other forum. I understand your frustration and heartbreak, because a) I read about it on the other forum and b) I have been heartbroken myself in the past.

Although I do not fully approve of what you did, I think you are interesting to read because you say what you think/feel which is refreshing as most people do the opposite (ie say one thing and mean/think another).

I think you should let it go now, though and move on.:)

Love / Krakow or nearby: LOST LOVE! [30]

Julianna is a Polish name.

Did you ever get a phone number?

It seems unlikely that they would have no electricity unless they have been cut off. ???

There are internet cafes in all major towns in Poland.

I think if this girl really existed she may have taken your conversations online as just that: and Internet acquiatance. In other words, not the same as a real acquiantance., something not quite real.

Good luck in tracing her and btw 32 is not old plus 10 years or so age difference is nothing.

Well if he tracked down the English family why not just call them and talk to them?

Perhaps they are behind the scam (if it is a scam).

Life / Polish people have low self-esteem? [80]

DM wants to sell papers, if feeds people's fears and insecurities. Most people in the UK don't care about world politics or current affairs outside Britain but would rather read latest news about celebrities, scandals about members of parliament and idiotic articles about Poles and foreigners in general invading their country. Hence the paper enjoys a large volume of sales. I have to say it is written in a readable yet not patronising format, hence it pretends not to be a tabloid, whereas in actual fact that's exactly what it is.

sshhhhhhhh! I'm here incognito :) Are you Mr B?

If anyone reading this thinks I am too harsh on Manser they should go to polandpoland.com and read what he has written there. All 10 or so pages of it.

What gets me is that he asks for advice, is given it (time and time again), people sympathise (time and time again) and then he has the b***** audacity to call us idiots. Does he actually know what went on in these camps? Perhaps if his grandparents were in one of these he would be more careful in what he says.

merry Xmas!

UK, Ireland / We welcome Polish people to Britain! [224]

:) OK, Zgubiony so you are not Mr B. Are you Marek?

I think Arien has a point, Manser is hurt, we know he is hurt, how could we not know?He has written enough on the subject, and I do still remember what it feels like to be hurt in love, I am not that old :) The point is you do not say deeply deeply DEEPLY offensive things just because you are dissapointed in one person.

It's a good job, Aldona is a slow duck like you say and her English is poor, Manser, because if she came on here and read what you have written about her, her friends, her fellow countrymen and Poland in general I don't think her or her family would give you the time of day again. As it is you can live in hope.

Actually, I think you probably are an OK kinda guy, just immature like I said, but then you are only 20 so it kinda goes with the territory. It's just that when people read this kind of think they forget the person who wrote it is only 20 and they take it literally.

Don't forget we can all edit what we have written - don't be afraid to use that edit button now and again :)

Well, Xmas is over, so Happy New Year! Doseigo Nowego Roku!

PS. Arien, in answer to your question, yes I do have a twin, have you heard of Doda?

Just kidding.

And to this I would add: has anyone ever known a poor Jew? Wedel the most famous chocolate company in Poland was owned by a Jew (now owned by Cadbury).

No decent human being would condone attacks on another human being and I certainly do not approve of anyone attacking Jews, whatever their status or financial situation. However, it is a fact that Jews are normally clever, talented and industrious people and you would be hard pressed to find a poor Jew. Therefore the ones claiming the houses back after WWII were certainly not poor either.

Racist? Don;t make it laugh. My best friend is Jewish. Idiot.

History / Jews...and their Polish experience [520]

Well, I read many such "personal experiences" and let me have some doubts about many of them. For example I read once a speech of some "Holocaust survivor" given in some American school, that was a woman, who was a child during WW2 and she claims that when Germans came for them, she somehow escaped, but no Poles wanted to help her, so... she lived alone in a forest for 3 years - anybody who spent winter in Poland knows that It's simply not possible, especially in case of a child.

The price for helping a Jew in WWII was death, not just for the person involved but his whoel family. The Nazis did not make empty threats. What would the Jewish woman do if she found herself in this position? Sacrifice her children for a stranger? I think not.

In spite of the dangers, many Poles did help Jews in the war.

In winter it is common to get to -10 C or even -20 C. How would this woman survive in a forest? I think there are parts of this story she is not telling or have been misinterpreted along the way.

UK, Ireland / Polish Migrants makes room for '20 to a house [59]

If you have to pay council tax (minimum 1k per year), other bills, fuel, food, childrens clothes, shoes and other expenses, garage bills, annual MOT/repairs/car tax, insurance, dentist, prescriptions, not forgetting the mortgage of course, then you are just about making ends meet even on a good salary. If you live in a shared house and share the rent between 10 or 12 people that's a different story.

Rent normally includes council tax as well and sometimes bills so you are not really getting a fair picture of how much it costs to live in the UK.

I think it is only fair to say that this is a personal choice ie. some people choose to share and some do not want to share and rent their own flat/house even though it is much more expensive for them.

I have not met any Polish beggars..then again I don't normally stop to ask beggars their nationality. When I lived in Bristol they seemed to be everywhere, mind you that was before Poland joined the EU so I don't think they were Polish somehow.
