Amathyst 19 | 2,702 6 Jan 2007 / #2I think since the UK is closer you would get more Poles living here because of the ease of getting to and fro
OP David_18 68 | 982 6 Jan 2007 / #3No. i mean where it is living most Poles in these countrys, not in wich country its most of them.
ola123 6 Jan 2007 / #4In USA - ChicagoIN UK - SouthamptonOutside Poland there are 40 million Poles in different countries.
telefonitika 6 Jan 2007 / #6i believe in Doncaster alone there is 7,000 polish people :)But in total in the whole of the UK somewhere in the region of nearly half a million polish people now live, work and study here in the UK :) they are expecting that this figure will grow amongst the new polish communities here in the UK over the next 2 years.

Eurola 4 | 1,907 7 Jan 2007 / #13There is not a place in the world we're are not at! From Alaska to Australia...
truebrit 3 | 196 7 Jan 2007 / #14There are 5000-10000 in Luton due to Luton Airport and cheaper rents
sledz 23 | 2,250 7 Jan 2007 / #151.8 million in Chicago according to the 2000 census.culture.polishsite.us/articles/art45.html
Amathyst 19 | 2,702 7 Jan 2007 / #16Im not sure how many are living in Manchester probably quite a few since there are a lot of direct flights out of M/c airport, a few Polish shops, most of the bars have Polish people working behind them...
Eurola 4 | 1,907 7 Jan 2007 / #17According to the census the biggest amount of Poles can be found in New York state, especially in New York City.Sledz, good article and pretty much true. I was surprised that NYC/state has more polish people than Chicago...
sledz 23 | 2,250 7 Jan 2007 / #20was surprised that NYC/state has more polishMe too! I though Chicago was # 1 but I think there more spread out in NYthat in Chicago.Quoting: David_18, Post #181.8 million in ChicagoI though that was kinda hi too I was going by what that website said.
Eurola 4 | 1,907 7 Jan 2007 / #21Yeah, they are spread more in NYC. Besides Greenpoint, there is no real polish "hood". :)I used to live briefly in Maspeth, NY. There was a quite big polish presence there, however.
OP David_18 68 | 982 7 Jan 2007 / #23We will rule the world very soon :) i think its political good for Poland that so many poles lives outside Poland.
sledz 23 | 2,250 7 Jan 2007 / #24some neighborhoods here they barley speak english all the stores etc...I like it because theres alot of good new Polish restaurants
Grzegorz_ 51 | 6,161 7 Jan 2007 / #26There is not a place in the world we're are not at! From Alaska to Australia...And that's bad. We should rather concentrate and take over some of these little countries, like Ireland for example.
