News / ARE POLISH PEOPLE TAKING OUR JOBS OR DOING OUR JOBS??!! DISCUSS. [126]

They all say they were surprised to see the messy organization in their workplaces upon their arrival there.

I think if they are so good at sorting out messy organisations why dont they stay and try to sort out the mess in their own country? Also, I cant imagine a British boss taking advice from these Polish upstarts

UK, Ireland / Polish people are happy with the UK health care system [27]

i think all the gp's ive seen were ok and i was always helped when i needed it, in emergency or not. i've been going to the doctors more often in UK than i used to in Poland, because even if i don't really have a health issue and just wanna talk to the doctor about something they will not make me feel like i wasted their time

and this, my friends, is the reason why the British health service cant cope. I was home for 3 weeks recently and I have a recurring muscle problem in my leg so i went to my GP to get some medication and lo and behold in the reception were 3 polish families all waiting to see the doc. I got talking to them and asked what was wrong, one told me her son had a freckle inbetween his toes, the second told me her 10 yr old son had a bad cough and the third said he son told her that he has a bad head. These kids were all playing happily in the play area.

All the brits I know dont tend to go to the docs if it is a minor ailment, whe we were little my brother and I were given lemsip (for kids) and calpol. We were never rushed to the doctors surgery.

UK, Ireland / Polish people are happy with the UK health care system [27]

Here we do again, NHS bashing. As I have said before, a friend of mine died in Polish hospital because they couldnt read his british case notes.

In Wales, we receive free medicene and the waiting lists are not very long.

It pisses doctors off when they get people taking up their time cos they have a cold or a cough and theres nothing they can relly do about it. My uncle is a GP and he told me that since the wave of Polish immigration to the UK he is swamped with Poles coming to him with colds and coughs, and bringing their children who have a cold.

This is why the NHS is swamped.

News / ARE POLISH PEOPLE TAKING OUR JOBS OR DOING OUR JOBS??!! DISCUSS. [126]

This really f**** me off. British peopel simply cant afford to work for minimum wage period.

I used to work in a fctory where there were loads of Poles working and I got invited back to theirs for a party. They way they lived was attrocious. They had matresses lined up against the wall and there were about 20ppl living in one place paying next to nothing for rent.

An average brit on the other hand has expenses such as a mortgage, a fmaily to feed etc. Brits really are better off on benefits. They simply cant take these jobs.

So pls no more "lazy brit" ********

USA, Canada / America's Got Talents Judges kicked the Polish Triplet sisters.. [37]

They play very well yes but thank God they didnt win or we'd never hear the end of how brilliant Poland is, it'd just be another excuse for people here to get on their high horses.

Maybe there will be a playboy shoot with the 3 of them, wait and see

Pierogi

I agree with u there but dont u also think sending children to a POlish state school in Ireland will only go to further alienate the children form the community??

Let's face facts: if you could afford it, your kid would be at an English-speaking private school.

In fact harry I am pretty rich

my business czekoladowyraj brings me a pretty good income and I could well afford to send my kid to the american school in gdynia. I choose not to so that he will meet Polish friends and not fell alienated when he goes to his secondary school. How can you not stand me when you havent met me?

I am 100% welsh but am sending my child to a Polish state school so he can integrate. Are you not a fan of integration Harry??

There you go then, th point im trying to make is that if the parents are attentive the Polish child could go to an English speaking school and still knolw Polish well. This elaiminates the need for Polish school and would stop the alienation of these children

They are actually schools which run at weekends so children can learn polish

Ok so send them to one of these weekend schools. My child goes to a Polish preschool, I live in Poland but at home i read in english with my child and will teach him to write when the time is right. So when we move back to UK my child will be well equipped to cope in UK without having been to an English speaking school. Its all about the parents deano.

Its a fact that Polish ppl do not integrate and this will push them further apart from the native community.

Shall we start to build french German and Portugese schools as well?

And Welsh people, there shouldn't be any Welsh in Poland. Wanna be Welsh? Fine. Go to Wales.

Obviously didnt read the posts very well, I never said there shouldnt be Polish ppl in Ireland, I said if there are Polish ppl in Ireland they should go to Irish schools.

READ CAREFULLY NEXT TIME

Should "Welsh guys in Poland" be forced to integrate as well?

My child attends a Polish preschool and will go through the Polish education system for as long as I remain in this country, its only fair. I could and would never expect a Welsh education in Poland for my child

UK, Ireland / Poles top of UK class [41]

Your from Rhymney?

No I am not from Rhymney, Im from a palce called Ystrad Mznach and the area of Cardiff is called Rumney. Rhymney is the Rhymney valley and is a completely different place.

Cardiff University is among the top 10 in UK and well know for its standards.

It is a fact that welsh medium schools outshine their english medium counterparts. I attended Ysgol gyfun Cwm Rhymney and the individual attention we were given by teachers and the facilities and the general level of education was unrivalled in the area. We were more disciplined and dedicated than the 'English' students and also better at rugby. Its probably because we felt unique within that community and we all had a sense of solidarity.

Love / Abuse in relationships (my first Polish girlfriend) [216]

So... tell me more in detail what you mean by "anti-male bias" in courts.

This is the case with my brother, he is a very good father to his child but because the mother of the said child went to court and told them he was bad, they withdrew visitation rights, no questions asked. The coursts are always willing to believe any woman over a man, its a sad fact.

Love / Abuse in relationships (my first Polish girlfriend) [216]

Then I start to wonder if other women may be like this and like welshguyinpoland said he has seen it and so has dtaylor so maybe it's not so random after all. I notice that the people who did speak up after being assaulted are British and not Polish so it does make me wonder if this is a typical behavior in Poland

It is but polish guys refuse to reveal it and they just sit back and accept it. Thats why these womwne thik they can do it to Britis bf cos theyve done it all their lives to their polish men

Love / Abuse in relationships (my first Polish girlfriend) [216]

I have been there and done that. My wife used to lash out and when I told her to stop it I was labelled a pu**y. She used to do it in supermarkets and in other public places. I put a stop to it by leaving. Everytime she tries to hit me I pack my suitcase and go home for a few days. She begs for me to come back and she hasnt done it now for over a year.

But it is inbuilt in some of these Polish girls. Her friends are the same they all lash out and sometimes i feel sorry for their pathetic husbands when I see them sit there and take it. Its all to do with the Polish man being a pantoflarz i reckon

Life / Good polish bank for online banking? PEKAO SA let me down. [32]

Visa electron to my knowledge is a choice made by the account holder when opening an account, you should be offered Visa or Mastercard

Thats only when you have a credit card. Debit cards here are all electron. In the UK we have the delta or switch system

Life / Good polish bank for online banking? PEKAO SA let me down. [32]

mbank.pl/en/

I think they also have telephone support in English as well but dont quote me on that one. I have personally never had any trouble with these guys and they were one of the first banks to introduce the chip n' pin system to Poland.

The only problem is (as with most banks in Poland) is that the debit card is still using the Electron system so if u want to use it in the UK to pay for things it wont be accepted in many places. This electron system is archaic, I remember when I was 16 in the UK having my firs debit card and that was electron. We csan only hope for change though :-)

Facebook is overall more secure. You can really look at people's profikes without first adding them as a friend. the same with sending messages. NK you can look at anyones profile and send messages without first adding as friend. This is why FB is becoming preferred ..... I think

Language / PARANOJA -- MISUSED IN POLISH? [20]

Here I defend myself. In poland, people who deserve the title are also called professors. How do you distinguish between a University professor and a secondary school teacher?

And btw z_dariusz my native language is Welsh not English. If Poland is so faultless why dont u move back here and why did you ever leave in the first place. I moved here to be with the woman I love, why did you leave Poland and why wont you return.

Actually educational standards in Wales and Scotalnd are very high Z_d but i doubt you researched that fact did you.

The same with the misuse of the word profesor in Polish. Everyone, even ur secondary school teacher is Pan/Pani profesor. In most countries this is an honourary title awarded by Universities, but not in Poland
