I am brand new to this site and I can tell you I have learned more here today than a year of searching on the web. That is awesome.

I have long distance relationship with a great guy who live is NY. He speaks very fluent english. We text each other A LOT to much. I do know a lil tiny bit of Polish, but not nearly enough. He loves it when we text in Polish, expecially when I get it right. It isn't really about the communication it is more about the fact that I care enough to learn it.

If someone could translate this for me that would be awesome. "I want to make you happy."

Also I would love to find a site that translates more of a slang type of language. Again nothing we say is the end of the world stuff if we don't get it accross, but I told him I was going to learn this language and he laughed saying this he has got to see.

Any help and any good web sites would be truly appreciated.

Yes the choosing thing always seems to be what gets me into trouble. He is very cool about it all, he wants me to learn and that is very motivating to me.

I truly appreiciate your help and I know I have a long road ahead of me. I have been at this for a year now and I am not getting very far very fast.

How could you not feel special. If someone thought enough of you to go out of their way to say "hey I am thinking about you today". You would have to enjoy that.

the way you are treating him by sending him flowers might simply look for other polish people that he is not the man in your relationship and that is the funny part

That sounds really insecure to me. Belive me my guy won't do anything he doesn't want to do and I have tried beyond belief to get my way sometimes. And he loves the flowers. ;-)

I've received flowers at home, but never at work. I think it would be cool to receive them at work, even if it's not the custom. You might get teased a bit, but that wouldn't matter! It would be the kind of teasing that leaves a warm feeling inside.

you could always do something completely unexpected that surprises him. Ex. my guy loves tennis.... it is his life. I surprised him with tickets to the US Open. Didn't say a word just sent them directly to work. And the thank you was worth everything.

Bottom line is he loves it that I think about him all the time. Wheather it is flower, baloons, a bottle of wine, something that is of interest to him, men love to be thought of. Go for it girl!!

Oh in 100% agreement. But when they aren't around you gotta settle for something. :) And why not a cute teddy? I kind of enjoy a good pillow with my man's t shirt. :)
