Hi,

I'm black (french/african) dating a polish guy
for a month and a half now.
It's goin really well and we really like eachother.
He speaks fluent English (few errors here and there)
but we understand eachother perfectly well.
Thankfully, I'm a language enthusiat so I'm
beginning to pick up sum Polish.
We goin to Poland for about 2weeks in June
and I'm very excited! He says he's attracted to the
fact that I'm black and his
mom's uber-excited to meet me.
I'm optimistic bout this relationship more
than most that I've had no cause to

Why do sum ppl have to be so rude?

I didnt say I wudn't like it. I sed I may not based on the fact
that a lot of things they eat, I'm jus not familiar with. If I didn't
give a s*** I wudnt have sed anything, jus gone there and
refused to eat wuteva I was given.
We're plannin to have dinner a few times at a Polish restaurant
I'm willing to try but I do get hungry quickly wen I eat summin
I'm not used to eating or summin I stuggle to eat.

I feel insulted by sum people's manner of replyin to ma post.
I'm African (altho raised in France), I have been well raised and
I kno not to reject his mother's food or act rude at the table.

I'll try as much Polish food as I can before I go to
Poland because I really want his mom to like me...
Even ma bf, I think it's important I show him that
I'm willing to make sacrifices too cos I love his face wen
he eats ma spicy food...he becomes red as hell but he
LOVES it!

mafketis, I'm West African from Cameroon. We have maize meal
as well. I usually stick to food that is closer to ma native food
in general so if there's summin Polish that tastes or looks like it,
then it'll automatically become ma favorite lol!

Polskadoll, we working on all of that. His mom's a chill person
and I think she's quite understanding cos she was asking
him on the fone earlier wut sorta food I eat.

In the end, I think it'll work out well

Its strange that people who have no idea who I am or
what I'm like can just jump into conclusions.

Guys I'm perfectly capable of speaking and writing "proper"
English. Infact, I don't speak with a ghetto accent and I don't have
a ghetto style at all. I don't dress ghetto, don't live in the ghetto,

Ma boyfriend translated to me but I already caught the gist of what she
was saying because she was throwing me evil glances.

The kind of kiss in question was just gentle kisses on the cheeks and on
the lips. We weren't smooching or anything.
I would't even let him kiss me under normal circumstances in the presence of
his family because he would't be able to do that with my family
but he assured me that his family's not like that and I caught what he
meant after spending a few hours with them.
Besides he was kissing me and not the other way around...
doesn't really matter anyway, the fact is that he was with a black woman
and she was not at all pleased with that.

They told her to mind her business and then she said in London there's
freedom of speech and then she went quiet.

This really did happen guys come on! Why would I make it up?
I may not speak Polish but I'm very good at reading
body language and I already knew she had a problem with him being with me
even before he translated it. And he refused to translate it to me immediately
because he didn't want me to get upset on the bus there with his grandparents
present and stuff. He translated to me after and I did get upset but oh well
life goes on. I'm black...and so what now?

Is this coming from someone whose first language isn't even English?
And if English is your first language I didn't know there was a rule on this
forum that said no abbreviation or spelling words as you want them as long
as you can be understood...Is there a rule like that? If there is then I'll write
out all my sentences from now on (which I'm doing write now if you care to
notice anything good around you)

I'm going to Kalisz....to be honest I don't know what region
it's in. It's probably more of a good thing than a negative that
I got that reaction from that lady before going to Poland
so that whatever happens won't shock me too much.
I'll try not to take everything to heart and I hope I enjoy my
stay there.

I'm actually very excited about goin to Poland. Got ma ticket,
learning to speak Polski, getting accustomed to Polish food...
hehehe.... I was a lil' shaken up after that lady's negative reaction
