It does. I also think that it's a nice gesture for the country to have 24 hours of mourning for those who have died.

A nice gesture from you too. I guess if people just donated clothes or something, even just to get the survivors through the next few weeks. I remember a friend of mine lost everything in a house fire and she was so very grateful for the donations of clothes she received from others in the neighbourhood, after the fire she didn't even have one pair of underpants to her name, only the pyjamas she was rescued in.
