Genealogy / Average height of Polish women [107]

I have never given it any thought, I'd be shocked if I met a girl taller than myself.

Love / Meeting two Polish women. Should I buy them both flowers? [16]

it would be very nice of you to get the other woman something, whether she's a flatmate or a relative of your lady. you can just get a small bouquet or a single flower for the other woman, make sure your ladys flowers are bigger and more special though, cos if you get two exact same bunches of flowers your plan of showing her how much she means to you will not work out! :)

do that:)
....and to be on the safe side take one simple flower for the other woman...:)

These ladies know!

Study / English on a Matura exam in Poland - Advice Needed [5]

I have been asked to help somebody prepare for the English part of their Matura. Can anyone shed any light on the oral part of this exam? What conversational topics are covered? Are there any good websites that can help me prepare?

Rob.

Work / Some details about Teaching in Poland [51]

If you are only going to do a 2 day course don't bother, save your money because they're pretty crap. Do a CELTA or a Trinity, which will take a month to do. There's no point wasting your money on a 2 day course, you might as well go the whole hog and do the longer course or save your money and learn as you go. Expect to be paid a bit less than qualified experienced teachers though.

On these 2 day courses you learn some things about classroom management which can be nice if you have no confidence but most of it is just common sense. The important part is to know what you're teaching and to have good knowledge of the English language which you won't learn in 2 days I'm afraid to say.

Good luck to you.
