Wouldn't that rather depend on the man's personality and looks rather than his nationality?

Well, im not too sure. I had a Polish girlfriend once who said her mother would be much happier if she knew she was with an English guy than a Polish guy. Maybe it's a money thing??

Mine did. But in those days I had the magic ooh a westerner edge. Oh and lots of levi jeans. She would probably choose someone else today

some of them might..... and some might not. Some English men are good.. some are bad ... and the same goes for women too.

I think a man who has good taste and doesnt make fun of people , is confident in his world and ready to make a new one with someone will be seen for his acommplishments and not for his mistakes and nationality isnt a issue if hes the man she is attracted to and vs versa.

I find it irritating to be around people who make it their number one priority to hurt others.. its a huge turn off, makes the man or woman look like they have security issues because they have to find fault in others. when the focused attention should be on the person you are dating and not what you can ruin for the night.

Are you cute? Are you really good looking? What do you look like? And how old were you when you lost your virginity?

I never said that, I think theres a very good abundance of british men who are very good hearted.. and well deserving of a wonderful lady, its too bad that people make issues out of looks.. its unfortunate, because so many have enough to deal with in their own lives then here comes a arrogant know it all who says things to be the bigshot of the crowd and makes people look bad..

I think alot of men/women would prob see better if they opened their eyes just a little bit more. I dont get the rise of making someone look small..

anyway, my two cents worth.

I think theres a good majority of men from each nation who have some qualities I described and you know who you are.. enjoy life and enjoy those around you while you can.

haha too true.

but internet forums are filled with sarcasm and loathing, populated by those who have not the courage to give their opinions in the real world.

Because Polish men don't cheat on their wives of course!

My mrs said this as well. The ironic thing is that she's full of stories of the shenanigans her friends have been up to e.g. living with married women, having a child with a woman whose married and still living with her husband, even some of the priests have kids. Whereas my friends are as good as gold. I think the thing is that British men dont want to settle down at the same age as Polish ones, we'd rather wait till we're in our 30s rather than in our 20s and this can cause a conflict.

Exactly, I think that's a major thing. How many times have you heard of the Polish person coming over to the UK, starting a relationship only for it to mysteriously end just before the person goes back to Poland and loses contact forever? Coincidence...I doubt it...getting into a marriage too early and wanting to see what the other side of things is like while you are away from home and responsibility...much more likely.

I have to clarify, I am a very bitter person and this is not an attack at the Polish people. Just you can't turn round and say that English people are often gulty of cheating when it's just as common for Polish people to do it.

Although I can understand the urges, which are involuntary (that was for youz, Cheery and SeanBM), I would not cheat. Even more so in the case of marriage. It is an international phenomenon that people sleep around and cheat. My first Japanese girl was married. Even though I wasn't cheating on a partner, I still felt bad that she had a husband. He was an asshole apparently so I didn't feel bad for him, just for her inner confusion. Still, you take the consequences in life.

The thread is ridiculous, it depends on the person. To me, I'm an open guy so it doesn't matter where you are from. It matters that I can click and enjoy it.

Well said Seanus...that was pretty much what I wanted to say...but I got into a bit of a rant because I'm not well and so turned temporarily bitter.

I know that feeling, where you are delighted to get to the final hurdle of the day. Labouring through the day can be living hell.

I have 2 hours off. I taught all morning and need to recharge the batteries before my 4-9 shift.
