Feedback / "My Threads" - Can they be deleted or refreshed? [5]

Well, the whole purpose of "My Threads" was to list all the threads you've participated in and they will stay there unless the particular topic (usually from the Off-topic thread indeed) is deleted. MyThreads can be sorted by the latest reply or the newest topic, so it's easy to track.

OK, thank you. I can see how it would be easy to keep track, but wondered in the long term. Again thanks :)

Yes, good idea to ask her. Maybe she was drunk and though she might have came over too strong or something like that. Plus there is the fact that if you were out dancing all night, she might be completely exhausted at work today and not capable of more than a few words... :)

Cheers Misty, but I thought Id ask here first Im a little shy when it comes to women so just thought Id ask here. Is there any Polish people here or is it just a forum about Ploand?

That's fine. We like to give advice :) Yeah it's a good mix of Polish and non-Polish people here. There is loads of information around the site so if you need help just have a look around :)

They shouldn't be paying by the room anyway. Every room is different, maybe different sizes or different states (depending who stayed there). Seems she's working for a dodgy company and she should take them.

However, never sign a contract unless you've read and understood it and if you don't understand it, don't sign until you've gone over it with someone who understands it and whom you trust!

They most certainly did not surrender at that point. If that was the case then why did the Gurkhas ever land on the Falklands? The Argentinians battled on.

So the question is, why are foreign accents so appealing to women? Is it because they are different from the accents we hear daily? Do they promise something more, something exotic?

Think of your favourite accent.

Two guys approach you in a bar, both great looking. Guy 1 has a local accent and Guy 2 has that accent that you adore...who would most attract you?

UK, Ireland / Polish Pubs in Scotland. [22]

A thread I read today about POSK in London made me think about this. I've searched a little bit on the Internet but not much comes up. The question is, does anyone know of Polish pubs in Scotland, particularly Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen?

I think I know of one in Edinburgh which is run by a Polish lady and her Irish boyfriend but I don't remember the name.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated :)

OK, I apologise for snapping... :)

The main focus of a Polish pub would be, obviously, Poland and that would be reflected in the decor, the beers and drinks served, the entertainment, the food etc. English pubs have their own, unique charm.

theres a few in Glasgow

I think it might be the importer's address (it should say "imported by") because it can only be called "Scotch" if it's distilled in a Scottish distillery and it must be matured in Scotland.

But

I have just read that this legislation regarding Scotch was to be reviewed in the spring of 2008 which has obviously passed. So it may be that there are different laws. I hope not.

lol, Misty, laws are you serious, what does the law control properly now a days when it comes to produce??? Everything you can buy that is authentic you can buy a knock off price copy.

You don't say. That's what we're trying to establish here, is it real or fake? If it wasn't distilled in Scotland and matured for at least 3 years and 1 day, it's not real Scotch and shouldn't carry the label.

Then it can't be called a Scotch. It must be distilled in a Scottish distillery and matured in Scotland for it to be called a Scotch. If it's matured elsewhere, it's not Scotch.

What is the proof on the label? Above or below 40%?

hang on a minute, what happens to produce that i made in the UK and then exported, that sits in other countries. For example if cheese is made in the UK and then exported what do they put on the label, English mature cheddar matured in England/Poland, lol??? Come on if its made in Scotland then its Scottish?? no??

Well, does that make of cheese have it's own legislation? Scotch does and in order for it to be legally called Scotch it must be made in a certain way, as I have described above. If you doubt me, look it up.

I understand what you're saying there. Anyone can make whisky but they can't call it "Scotch" whisky unless if adheres to the legislation which can be found here. There is another good website here. Dark Whisky is a fake.

Still has to adhere to the legislation in order to be called Scotch. That's how I understand it anyway.

Scotch, there's a difference. And I would try calling someone from Scotland "Scotch"... ;)

by buying in "scottish" whisky, then maturing it in poland, they are able to lable the bottles as Scotch. in their country only. now we get into difficult patent laws. By law Scotch can only be made in Scotland. But this factory is importing scottish whisky.

So they still can't call it Scotch because it MUST be matured in Scotland for it to have such a name. They can, of course, import it AFTER it has matured in Scotland it can still legally be called Scotch.

Life / First Racial Attack for me in Poland [158]

It really can happen anywhere Griff. I have been told in recent weeks to ****-off back home by a guy on a bus. He'd been offering me a seat but I didn't realise he was talking to me so I didn't answer. So the next thing he's barged past me and said 'why don't you ****-off back home'. This is strange because I was born here and it is my home...I suppose sometimes people also judge on appearance only and people think I look very Polish.
