Food / PUDLISZKI BOTTLED GOŁĄBKI? [17]

News / 100zl note should be phased out. [20]

Polish customer service is sh*t but i think we already agreed on that! When they ask me if i have any change and they're being rude about it i always say no. The till counts the amount of change they give you back anyway, it's not like they have to calculate it themselves so what's the big deal? I have this habit of getting rid of my pennies instead of collecting them in a jar and here in UK the shop assistants are always very nice and grateful. In Poland they don't even say thank you if you make that sort of an effort.

News / 100zl note should be phased out. [20]

next time a shop keeper gives you an evil look for giving them a 100 zl note, tell her/him they're no bus driver and they shouldn't expect the correct fare all the time ;). or even better, tell them it must be hard to see all those notes each day when you're only getting paid a few groszy.

i always have a load of 100 and 200zl notes when i go to Poland for a holiday but they disappear pretty fast :P

Love / What is your opinion on the Polish Ladies in Krakow? [82]

what exactly ARE you after going to those countries and talking to women? just because they don't respond to you in a way you expect them to, as in bow to you and agree with everything you say, doesn't make them stupid or cheap or all the other stuff you call them. how old are you? are you some middle aged guy with a bushy beard going round bars and chatting up pert 20-somethings? it's very immature to put down a whole female population of certain countries just because they don't appreciate you talking to them. maybe they actually have some class and don't get into conversations with strange foreign men! maybe they don't see being spoken down to and having your slimey hand permamently stuck on their ass all night as a fun night to have? i dunno how you roll but if you have such bad experiences with so many women chances are there is something wrong with YOU not them. judging cities and countries based on 'female friendliness', gosh you sound like such a tosser...

Love / What is your opinion on the Polish Ladies in Krakow? [82]

maybe you should try speaking to guys and see if you get a better response? why do you wanna talk to women? maybe they saw you chatting up different girls each night in Prague and thought you were a player.

Feedback / What if Polishforums would not exist? [50]

that is not what im saying, if Arlene here is not satisfied with the forum and she's been here for quite a while then maybe she should move on to a more suitable website rather than throw a tanturm and insult our male posters?

Life / Are Polish people civilised or not? My thoughts... [52]

i never said all PL people were perfect, of course you get idiots or vain people but reverend sounds like a broken record complaining about the Poles, probably just because he's lost his job to one of them and he's on a personal crusade. such a waste of space, time and energy.

Life / Are Polish people civilised or not? My thoughts... [52]

love the attitude, you sound arrogant yourself reverend. if you're such a saint and a decent man then why do you sleep around and then complain those women were wh*ores? you're a wh*re yourself cos you've done it as well. pot calls kettle black! so shut it.

there are many arrogant stuck up Irish people sponging off the state, are you ashamed of them? or do you think you're in some weird way superior to everyone else so you can get away with being arrogant? if Polish people claim benefits then they must've worked here and paid taxes for at least some time. blame the system for letting immigrants claim money, not the immigrants for taking it. if the money was there and you needed it then you'd take it too.

pathetic post from a pathetic person.

Love / First date with this Polish girl! Some advice required on what to say and what to do. [35]

PainBrush

ha ha what a nutcase, don't listen to him

Being a Polish girl i can suggest, as someone else suggested already, that you don't use too much Polish because so what that you know how to say and ask a few things if she will still have to answer in English? you won't understand if she answers in Polish so maybe leave learning useful phrases for when you - hopefully - form a relationship and start getting to know each other better. You can of course tell her Cześć, jak się masz? (chesh-ch yeack sheh mash) - hi how are you? or Pięknie wyglądasz (pyek-nye vee-glo-dash) - you look beautiful, but try to enjoy yourselves and don't forget about body language ;), also maybe even bring a notebook so if she doesn't get something you can draw it for her and vice versa ha ha, that would be funny. Be creative, listen to her and make her laugh.

Life / Why do a lot of Polish people stare and why is good personal hygeine shunned? [108]

if they can afford
beer, WTF cant they afford some deoderant?

then there is the case of learning that you have to wash as well for the deodorant to actually make a difference to the way you smell. covering up sweaty smells with more and more deodorant creates this disgusting, sweet stench. i reckon that every workplace should have showers so the really sweaty people can sort themselves out at lunchtime ha ha.

I was commenting on the fact that some people here think that it is bad for skin to be washed more than once a day even though doctors tell us that we should wash our hands after going to the toilet

i reckon showering just to freshen up during a hot day is not bad at all, as long as you dont scrub yourself with a thick brush or them shower scrubs. make sure to moisturise and you'll be fine. same with hair, although every hair dresser i've seen told me that if it's possible you should let your hair get naturally greasy as often as you can. i got to the point where i don't have to wash my hair for 3 days and it still looks fine. doesn't feel great but it's good for it.

UK, Ireland / England, Dirty, Expensive and a dangerous place to live? [205]

I can't see anything in ShelleyS' post/quote that could cause offense.

no i looked at it and i can't see what the fuss is about either. as for surviving on £600 a month, it's hypothetically possible if you don't have a mortgage and share a flat/house. there's no chance i will ever get on the property ladder with my salary ha ha, and i'm not really tempted to because why should i work my ass for for 25 years to pay it off and then my kids get it for free! and put me in a home!! fat chance ha ha!

UK, Ireland / England, Dirty, Expensive and a dangerous place to live? [205]

Prices at Polish airports are especially rediculous. A stupid Prince Polo bar was something like 2.5 zl, but in a shop you can get them for what, 80 gr? Yet still it is pretty darn hard to survive in Poland and pay all the bills, rent, get food and other essentials. In UK you can easily survive even on £600 a month. I'm just waiting to turn 25 and then i can start claiming benefits ha ha... I hear other Poles do it with great success.

The body had been in the bin for nearly 3 weeks sweety...

i read about it the other day and there wasn't that much info, i knew she was missing for years and they can't specify the time of death. that's horrible :(

Shelley you feisty lady! i agree there's so much more violence and crime these days. at least we hear more about it now... or maybe they bring up all those stories to distract us from the the fact of being in such deep sh*t thanks to the recession?

As for it being expensive over here, if you compare wages in UK and Poland and then compare the prices of food, living etc. in both of those countries i think you can safely say that the Brits are still better off.

Also how about the womans body found in a bin which had been there for 3 weeks, you have to question what kind of a country England is turning into when you read this in the news....I mean, a body decaying in a wheely bin for 3 weeks!

i'm pretty sure it's been 3 YEARS as she's been missing since 2006. well not in the wheelie bin for 3 years but been put in there and stayed there for a long time as the binmen refused to empty is as it was 'too heavy'

yeah everytime you read about someone being stabbed to death, the killers' names are almost always foreign and they are of black or asian descent...
