Language / Adjective and adverb comparison [19]

"Najwyżej (if all else fails) będziecie się promiennie uśmiechać"

Yup. You can add some informality in that and say 'Co najwyżej, etc.'

News / Poland boycotts German goods? [266]

Also, most sailing term are German.

I'd rather say they come from English language. After all, Great Britain used to be the Queen of Seas.

News / Has there ever been gold found in Poland? [21]

We have a wild boar digging up the land all over the place hes probably eaten about £10k's worth by now.

That's why they use pigs for locating these fungi.
Ask some hunter to 'take care of the competition' first :)

News / Poland boycotts German goods? [266]

Hey, not everybody. I, for one, dislike people who dislike me, not whole nations. German things are renowned for their quality. I rather try to avoid products 'Made in China' (although most of electronics is probably made there and it is very hard to find something not manufactured there). Not to mention Chinese use children in their production and pay peanuts, but great deal of their products contain toxic substances.

a very important social status symbol to be seen with a large German B.M.W. or Audi.

Nothing different from the UK or other country, then.

UK, Ireland / Benefits for separated Polish wife and 2 kids in the UK [90]

Natasia, tell your friend to go to the court and make her ex pay the maintenance money. I may not be a British citizen but I'm a British taxpayer too and it turns my stomach when I read the word 'benefits' (or 'benefity' in a Polonised version). I've never claimed anything and don't intend to as it's below my dignity to live off someone else. Attitude of your friend and the likes of her is one of the reason of strong anti-Polish sentiments in the UK.

What if Russia decide to liberate Scottland from England? Polish position
Y'wanna hear 'Polish position' ? Here it goes: I think that last thing Scots want is to be 'liberated' by Asiatic hordes; they can very well take care of themselves. I live there, and watch Scottish prosperity with my very own eyes. Kacapskie tanki don't fit in here AT ALL.

UK, Ireland / Survey on life in the UK, Sweden and Ireland [35]

Mamma mia ! Is it ? But if you're not sure what's it all about, then, as we say in Poland, it's about money money money (ain't it funny ?).

UK, Ireland / a trip to Dublin at Christmas? [30]

My landlady's mum visited Dublin some time ago and her impression was very moderate. She told me it was just another city.
