News / POLAND's ENERGY -WHAT is it? WHERE is it from? [29]

Actually most people at the plant are exposed to more radiation from their TV's at home than they do at work.

I know. I was just kidding. I've been to a nuclear power plant....well outside of one :)

a closed one.........

News / Poland's Contribution to the E.U. [56]

With all due respect, A. Lepper is a VIP and believe it or not he still has some power to influence the EU.

Good for him :)

Travel / Isn't Warsaw a Sh*thole? [20]

Maybe that's it: people in Poland don't like the city of Warsaw enough?

Well Krakow was the old capital, I don't know why they changed it to Warsaw.....

Food / A good name for a Polish bar? [55]

The Warsaw Pub

That good? It could be called "The Warsaw" for short :)

Kinda like in "Shaun of The Dead", their bar was "The Winchester"

Umm, don't be afraid to try ALL the food. It's usually very amazing and you'll love it. Other than that, I can't think of anything. Oh, don't be afraid to ask questions. They'll be glad to educate you about anything Polish :)

Forget it, it happens

I'm sorry man. I know how it feels. My grandfather lost a leg, and is in a wheelchair, and my grandmother had a stroke and can't move anything below her hips. I have to watch them struggle every day trying to get by. Its sad. Honestly, if I knew, I wouldn't have said anything :(

Now I feel like crap......you're not mad are you Peter???

Nice age. Yeah I'm still a young buck, but I'm not a little kid. How many 12 year-olds know half as much as I do? Not many :)

History / Poland has paid £68 Million for helping UK in WW2 [168]

It was Woodrow Wilson, and it was 14 points not 18, nor 13.

PS: France actually was the biggest supporter of the idea of a fully sovereign and independent Poland. Of course the main reason why they did it wasn't because they felt sympathetic for the Polish nation, but rather because they wanted to weaken Germany and separate them from Bolshevik Russia... Still, their involvement can’t be forgotten.

Hmm guess I haven't been reading enough.

I must have alsheimer's too, couldn't remember 14 Points ( I'm a dumbass :) )

UK, Ireland / Polish Migrants makes room for '20 to a house [59]

Check out the British East India company, you will see that it was largely run by Irish civil servants.
The English may have built the empire, but the Irish frequently ran it. (Remember the Act of Union was 1801)

Ahh I remember now. Wow. That's like 8th grade history no? Sorry for ignorance :)
