Genealogy / I have got alot of Polish DNA [51]

Because i do not think you would be able to find a Polish gene, perhaps a central, gene but a Polish gene. It makes me think of a cartoon gene with a big Polish moustache. Polish people have been mixing for 10s of thousands of years. I could be wrong. It just does not seem right and I do not have a TV ha ha ha

daj mi patyk do chodzenia" ? I think, exact translation but it doesn't sound right.
hhhmmm I thought there was a different word for walking stick and forest, and pritty girl (fit bird I think would be a better translation). It is one word with several meanings.... "luska" or something

Hello LAGirl,
I am happy you are happy and I am impressed that you took the time to try and find out where you are from. And that you feel close ties with Polish culture and you are learning the language (I find the grammar difficult).

But a Polish DNA? I would be sceptical about that even being possible.
How much did you pay for the test?

Love / Polish Gay Life [142]

I still remember when Gay used to mean happy.
Anyway, what two or more consenting adults choose to do in the privacy of their own homes is their business.
I think Poland is a lot like Ireland when I was growing up, Homosexuality was almost like a disease which could be cured with a cigarette and a nice strong cup of tea. And I am surprised how much Irish attitudes have changed, especially in the bigger cities.

I think it will just be a matter of time before Poland are excepting.
P.S. I have been to gay parades in London and Amsterdam, it was great craic, all cool.

Love / Soldier born in Poland / living in England. Fiance going away for ages. Complicated... [205]

Wroclaw

It was stated he was volunteering for this. I know this will start a lot of emotions. I would like to simmer those emotions. Iraq is not, to my knowlege, the safest place right now.

And how has someone going to the war, not got to do with the war?
I will leave all of this alone if you wish JustysiaS? civilised

I really don’t want to be curt....

Be curt...
I agree that this is an extremely personal thread, but it is not logical.
Ok, everybody always thinks they are in the dog house as regards to money but come on, a joined income plus bonuses and nobody has to go to war?

How has this NOT got to do with an unjust war?

dtaylor
I think she would happilly give up the car and wedding just to make sure her bf is not there!

support would be the best way to help dont you think?

The best friends do not just support me when I have a question but they do when I have made up my mind.
Plus i do not believe in the "I was just following orders" excuse, do you?

civic type r.

27 thousand pound sterling and your 11 grand, plus bonuses could not have paid it off? after years?
I do not mean to upset you and at any stage you JustysiaS can tell me to stop and I will.
Why is the love of your life leaving you for a war that is not just? I do not think the car is supported any more.

my bloke is on 27k plus bonuses... i earn a lot more than 11k myself lol

what car did he buy years ago that still make war the only decision ?

they don't have other options

i think there is that solved?

Wars happen yes, illegal ones too i agree, but without an army, what would happen? shall we speak french or spanish?

Actually English, to the victors the spoils.

These are often young men, i might not agree with the political focus, but these men fight for what(true or not) believe in. They deserve our support because its their lives at risk, not ours.

I disagree.

i think you are the only person here not understanding what this is about. its got nothing to do with war

Ok. I do not mean to be offensive, I am just trying to make an assessment.

No you wont be crucified, you have a right to an opinion like the rest. I don't support this war, but ihave 2 key fact of what we should do...
1. we went in there, took over, shouldnt we be responsible for what will happen there?
2. No matter where our soldiers are, they do th worst job ever, for shockingly low pay. 11k a year...fireman 36k a year?
Therefore, those men in places they dont deserve to be, could atleast have our backing.

I know this sounds very argumentative to you, i really do not mean it to, but
1. if he could get better pay as a fire man, well then?
2. It does depend on which side of the fence you are on? unjust wars happen.
3. I do not disagree most of the time with backing.

it's duty.

Explain to me how it is duty for a Scottish guy to have bought a car and the only way he can see of paying it back is through leaving his, wife to be, to go to Iraq for 6 months?

Ok even if it has nothing to do with the car, he is going to Iraq for six months, he is leaving his wife to be, for what?#
