Me too. 15 years ago Prague was one of my favourite places too and look at it now. When my eldest son visited there for the first time a few years back he came back ashamed to be British after witnessing the behaviour. Like FinT says though, some locals have pandered to the stag parties et al and have made a great deal of money out of them.

Ive been visiting Prague for a very long time and have seen the steady decline, but if you know where to go you can stay away from the fools, its still my fav city and still has quite a few hidden gems that the stags havent found...

but you wouldnt be paying the equivalent of £100....if you are looking at earning half the salary you are earning at the moment then a hair cut between £7.50 and £23.00 is good value and comparable - as you said you pay £50 at present so £23 is actually a saving....Geez these people have to eat too ya know ;-)

the prices sound very expensive to me. But...

the above equates to about £7.50 - £23.00, (30 - 100) - I pay at least £60 for just a cut in Manchester so when all said and done its comparable and not at all expensive

Sorry sledz,its a well known fact that Americans couldnt tell a good beer from toffee,come on,whats that rats pish you all drink :) (with the noble exeption of miller high life,yum yum.)

For once I have to agree...for some reason American beer gives me a spanking banking rotten head in the morning (I've tried Bud once or twice) so I just dont go near it plus that I its tastes vile...I forget the name but I love a certain spanish beer...But Stella is very nice on a hot sunny day :)

with the ever decreasing value of Sterling V Zlotych, it means that building in Poland is becoming very expensive

I have never been skiing in my life, well unless you count one time in Norway when I was so bad I came back down on the lift! I only want to try it for one day so dont want to go and buy all those puffy waterproof clothes you need. Im not sure you can do it in jeans can you.

You could probably pick up some semi-waterproof type bottoms pretty cheap )(cheap enough to chuck) just take some longjohn kinda thing for underneath and a fleece should be okay at this time of year. To be honest I dont envisage there being much snow.

thats only £23 at the current rate a beer on the town square in Krakow cost about 5/6 zl just to give you an idea.

You can have a nice meal with a beer in a reasonal place for about £10- if you put aside £50 per day, that should be ample for going out and eating...lunch dinner and a few drinki poohs in the evening..have a mooch over to the Jewish district there are some fab places to eat and its a nicer atmosphere imho, less chance of having some fat fuking loud scouser sat next to you when you're trying to relax..

Im saying £50 but you could spend more since the rate has dropped since last feb when I was there...but if you're there and the sun is shining its going to be mainly salads for lunch so not that expensive to be honest.
