Love / How much is sex important for Poles in Poland? [25]

Well... is this the real crow pipping now? I mean... just very unusual of you...

Anyway...

How much is sex important for Poles in Poland?

I would assume as much as outside of Poland.

History / Poland and Ukraine [240]

I have no hatred or love towards Russians

Hollow words.

If I had no nathionality as you claim (because, maybe, you lack one) I wouldn't be here

I don't see any connection here...

I don't want my kids to live in horrors my grandparents, parents and I were living in.

Neither do I that for Ukraine. But approach such as yours eventually leads to all horrors and disasters in history...

I want my country to be in Europe where knowledge, culture and human being is appreciated and respected.

So do I for both Ukraine and Russia. With people like you Ukraine won't be there ever because Europe doesn't need another pain in ass in the form of Ukraine that can't make up its mind, can't adjust politically and economically and where people like you still play "benderovci". You gotta firstly moderate your views, make up your mind on what you really want, elect trustworthy politicians and then... V dobry put! I wouldn't mind you stay away from Russia as long as it's your people's choice.

A couple of dialogues above you asked me to not do it. Wy are offending other people?

Nat it's so pathetically to read your weepy notions about Polish people... I'm about to shed a tear. The more I read you the more I'm amazed with you fantastically hypocritical and self-contradictory statements. In one thread you label Russians "bydlo" and "scum" with no objective reason (actually there's a good reason... you're like a deprived child forsaken and lonely, with no nationality, gone astray, bearing no kind feelings in his heart, malicious and chauvinistic), now you venture to speak about "name-calling" and offending other people?! Do you realize what you're saying? Or this goes subconsciously?

Pawy, is it really that weird for Poles to own such view as Ironside or Salomon do? Too many Russians for one thread, don't you think so? I'm off... :)))

The guy isn`t Polish, he is only trying to start animosities between Poles and Ukrainians.

Similar idea touched me as well. How could one that much discredit the great Ukrainian nation?! Anatoly (Nathan) must be no other but Russky then... It's nothing else but their habitual hanky-panky.

You are spreading false info, Solo. The picture you posted doesn`t present the Polish victims of UPA. They are gypsy children killed and hanged on a tree by their mentally ill gypsy mother. The incident happened before the war and a dozen years ago it surfaced with a false attribution of UPA atrocities.

I did read same version too. This may be true...

News / Searching for keys in Polish-Russian relations [75]

Nat, relax and come up to the mirror firstly. Considering your constant pathetic b!tching about everything that is any related to the adjective "Russian" I wouldn't even recommend you to open a book... right to the doctor, honey, right to the doctor... That's the only thing that should do you good.

Your beforehand description of yours was pretty much accurate. Thank you.

News / Searching for keys in Polish-Russian relations [75]

There is a very strong pro-Polish group in Western Ukraine, they are the wealthier half

I don't know who exactly you meant here, but if take as is Western and Eastern Ukraine, the last one will be of course wealthier as it has most of industry inherited from the USSR and natural resources.

In fact we're in a thousand times better position than Russia which needs to coerce and bribe, we have a massive following of willing supporters there, who's voice is incindentally more important than russian sympathizers.

In fact everybody gotta do same things. The only reason why you are or if you want the West in general have the better position (which I entirely share) is because you invest more. Money is the only matter, particularly in the western part of Ukraine as it is more poor.

his is not true that the western part of Ukraine is wealthier

Exactly.

The government of Ukraine is pro-selfish therefore the only thing they've ever cared about is their own buttocks. Doesn't really matter what kind of policy they conduct since everything ends up in their pockets. Yanukovich, Jusch, Timoshenko... no difference. Neither for Poland nor for Russia.

As for the topic... I would say that our future rests mostly in our (people's not politicians') hands. We can learn something new about each other's culture, history, we can treat each other as friends, we can stop being narrow-minded or unfair but I don't believe those governments we have ever come to terms with each other.

History / Taras Bulba - the movie [115]

it did start with the whole "Holy, Russian land, holy orthodox faith" theme and the theme kept getting louder and louder throughout the movie.

That's what I firstly mentioned among stuff irritating me. Just out of curiosity I googled for it... You might go through using ctrl+f and "rus" typed in it. They didn't really step out of the novel.

Much more interesting to take a look at the Ukrainian translations where "Russian" replaced with "Ukrainian" and "Russians" with "Ukrainians" or at best with neutral "cossacks".

P.S. "Liakhy" is not an offensive term.

History / Taras Bulba - the movie [115]

What is REALLY funny that Russians don't know about existence of first version of Taras Bulba poem.

I find much funnier that you ACTUALLY KNOW about the existence of what has never existed. :)

Read Wikipedia on the topic at least

What else? Slopedia? lol :) Generally, I haven't seen anything more stupid and funnier than new ukranian nationalizm and nationalists. Take Nathan (Tolik) alone with his reasoning... Pure delirium.

This was a very smart move to base the film on Gogol's story. Ukranian nationalists have now two ways to get out: either admit they're bunch of pathetic completely f*cked up morons or say something similar about Gogol.

Gosh I read one of translations of Gogol's "TB" into Ukranian... Guys how can you stand all this lie?
Nobody hates you, nobody deprives you of being called Ukranian... Why in the world do act this way? *shrugged*

News / Kaliningrad. Problem, Threat or Opportunity for Poland? [185]

But no DNA and language argumentation pls.

Privet, Boris! :) I wouldn't name you any of those, even though I could. But I believe that most of similarities lie on the emotional span. Specifically I mean the way we react on the same things: we hate similar and we love similar, we defend our values with the same aggression (and that's actually why we are not mostly on the same wavelength in terms of politics), our pride of bygones seems very similar as well. That's what I meant. I don't generalize of course just tried to compare and express my view of the average Pole and the average Russian and there you are.

News / Kaliningrad. Problem, Threat or Opportunity for Poland? [185]

-man (hopelessly jewish)

or German

Interesting calculations... :)))
So how would that work out if one has "-ov"-father and "rabinov-ich"-mother?

As far as I know, someone can be Russian and something else (Tatar, Mari, Yakut, etc.) or just Russian. Maybe I'm wrong. Are there two different words for this?

Gospodin Oslov :))) (I'm laughing cause that sounds a bit weird and may be rendered as a "donkey's master"), English doesn't distinguish Russians in terms of citizenship and actual nationality. "Rossijanin" is a new word for a Russian citizen (I prefer avoid it though using instead "citizen of Russia" phrase) and "Russkiy" is actually "Russian" by nationality. So Tatar can't say about himself "ja russky" (however I met some who said) but can easily say "ja rossijanin". Interpreted in English those two phrases I guess would be the same, whereas they meant two different things.

As a liberal I reject collective judgements. I can compare individuals regardless of their nationality.

And I thank you lesser for being so sensible. :)

News / Kaliningrad. Problem, Threat or Opportunity for Poland? [185]

We can read here very negative opinions about Russians.

But what one could expect after Kostya's provocations? :)) He doesn't even think the way he puts it...

just the name of the holyday has been changed

It has nothing to do now with the October revolution. Just another holiday quite like lesser said...

60 - 70% Russians are still dreaming of the commie times.

Of course not. This is just ridiculous. "Dreaming" really few. Most of those you mentioned merely being more or less honest about the (usually) late soviet socialism. But they don't want it back. I wonder what time will it take you to eventually realize that our ideology is unlikely to depend on nationality. I know people in Russia with Polish ancestor in the recent past who with the foam at mouth defend Russian mentality and lifestyle on the whole and particularly Mr. Pu.

Never try to compare Poles and Russians.

Why not? From what I've seen so far we are the two closest Slavic nation (if not count the former USSR states). :)

though I am 100+% Russian

How did you evaluate that? :) Am I Russian? What percantage would you give me?

Lejba Bronstein and co.

He actually said that Russians should be exterminated and partially enslaved.

Anyway you have got huge territory but have no brains to develop it, dude.

That's tricky, buddy. Yes we've got a huge territory but it's mostly not advantageously located. I for one have a friend who was raised in the town some 500 km to the north from Magadan. I don't really know how anything except for salmon, seals and bears can live over there. Polar night, minus sixty at winter and daily temperature drop in summer can be 30 degrees (+30 day, o or "-" at night). Mature people who ventured to leave it for some better place in terms of climate burn out and die within several years.

Does anyone else have trouble understanding what Nathan is talking about,
or is it just me?

Unless you understand the notion of new Ukranian nationalism, you won't be able to grasp what Nat says. Well done, Nat! :)) Keep it up. Though I'm sometimes not sure if you're serious or having fun...

yeah, thats funny, with 98% Albanian population??

Here we go...

So if Berlin gets a 98% Albanian population will it become Albanian?

I firstly wanted to mention Chinese expelling you from Kosovo within some 10 years. Would it be Chinese then?

better question;
are all poles this racist?

You shouldn't have asked that. There're some questions that reveal IQ better than answer. It's a problem with your stupidity or in more politically correct words with your tough deficiency of the info.

you are a sick bastard.

:) "Tell me why, why, why... whaiaiaiay"? So far you've basically said nothing but name calling. Is this your last argument?

disembowel children?? what u even talking about

You may or may not know the truth. But I strongly suggest that you face reality taking off pink glasses. With no admission from both sides there would be never ending story.

man, what your problem? you are serb then?

kidnapping serbs? when this happen? 50 years ago?

And what happened to Mrs. Carla del Ponte?! She must be Serbian too... at heart. lol

kidnapping serbs? when this happen? 50 years ago?

It's happening at the moment. Gosh... I revealed my nationality as well.

Sokrates, this what Russians had been before the revolution and after actually two different things. The later appeared hybrid might be called "sovok". There was a try to implant totally different values, thankfully they failed. They tried to destroy faith and they never succeeded.

Now I notice that the average Russian's slowly deviating from the Soviet turn of mind.

I dont really care what Russians called themselves back then they were still russians.

Maybe that's the keyword... you don't care if the Russians were actually Russians. :)
Then sorry for misunderstanding you at first. I was talking about Russians who liked you. I can't speak for juice.
At leisure take a quick look on the list of NKVD top-persons. You're likely to learn a lot.

Dude..why are you trying to deny the crimes the Russians did on Polish land??

I've never denied Soviet crimes on Polish land neither I ever denied Soviet crimes on Russian land against Russians.

Oh yes, the Russians love us Poles so much they invaded Poland not once but TWICE in the same century!

It doesn't have anything to do firstly with Russians and secondly with the current state of affairs.
You just don't want to bother yourself with the more careful view on the Russian history of the last century and on the bolshewik's problem which is ok... but if you did, that might explain a lot to you.

USA, Canada / WHY SO FEW POLISH RESTAURANTS IN AMERICA? [44]

You're certainly right Polonius. The US has not too much of Polish or in general Slavic restaurant. I believe that is because the Slavic food and cuisine is not really "fast". You have to spend some time to cook a nice borsch or polish pierogi. I was looking for Polish and Russian restaurants in my area and didn't really find any worthy.

As for Polish "pierogi" (Russian "vareniki") and Russian "pierozhki" this kinda false friend. I know that some Americans don't always know what they mean under the certain word.

History / Taras Bulba - the movie [115]

Sasha, you know that Gogol couldn't say many things he wanted and was forced to publish a different than was intended before version of his work in order to glorify Matushku Rasieju

What?! How do you know that? :) Do you have any evidence for that?

There was "Rus" from Kijivan Rus' and like in case with Romanians who were so much fascinated by Roman empire that called their own country Romania, the same way Russians called later their country after the Kijivan Rus'

This theory as plausible as one could say that the tail and the head of the same cat belong to different animals. I'll of course wait for some more time till the actual reality cut you down to size. Your comparison is irrelevant.

If he used "Russian", it means he was either chronologically incorrect or censorship made him be like that

Either way sounds ridiculous. Didn't you notice it?

Russians never liked poles

That's not true. See how many Polish people have been contributing to our culture, science... which means they have always been welcomed here (in Russia). Though historically tough relationship between our countries one can't deny.
