Sterotypes and prejudices derive from the ways in which perceived cultural differences are socially constructed in an exaggerated and simplistic form with the aim of exclusion and ridicule.....a self defence mechansim for those with inferiority complex whether as individuals or as a nation

Nope...stereotypes developed over long periods of times between many peoples. Of course they generalize percieved differences. But all have them. There is nothing wrong with it...

Was the aim to exclude and to ridicule? Not always...there are positive and negative stereotypes but all have a core of truth to them!

Who was it that said something along the lines if you tell a lie often enough it becomes a truth?
That is how stereotypes work!

Who would have be the one telling the "lie" often enough? That might be true in today's globalized internet world that someone might be successfull with a slandering or PR campaign but the stereotypes we speak about developed over centuries...

I for example know the stereotypes about Germans, we have positive and negative ones and both are not that far off the truth!

The term "stereotype" derives from Greek (stereos) "solid, firm"[1] + (tupos) "blow, impression, engraved mark"[2] hence "solid impression".

Every people has a stereotype. They didn't get those because they are the exact opposite or not true..

No...it isn't! Even the US had journalists between their troops invading Iraq.

The problem is that if this pipe line becomes true we will do everything to make you CRY. It is Polish tradition.

Because it is much safer for Poland to have gas pipe line which secure west with gas.

Poland abusing and using Germany's pipeline through Poland to Russia = GOOD
Germany avoiding that and building a new pipeline = BAAAAD
Russia using pipeline to possible blackmail but still alliance worthy with Poland!

We are world export champion, we have regularly a budget surplus for years now. If it wouldn't had been for the credit crunch we would have no debts anymore, our unemployment numbers were steadily going down...that you call lacking???

Now the american/british credit crunch devastated the world economies but you say Germany is somehow at fault??? Are you kidding???

Germany is losing its leading position in the EU - both in sense of economy and politics.

I think most Germans would be quite glad not to be the paymaster for whole Europe anymore....imagine all the billions saved for our own!

But who else would take the place?

The biggest and most influential economy in Europe who with their money helps to finance the EU!
Germany position get's to change only if these factors change too...so who it's going to be? Poland???

Another question...who would and could take Germany's place in your mind? And what would that mean for Poland?

Nord Stream is the best prove that Germans can't be trusted... at least in our part of europe.

Here in Germany we actually believe the Poles protest that loudly just out of fear to lose a nice additional free income, the fee for allowing the pipeline to use their territory, so the compassion is limited...

The calculators know that the pipeline will be cheaper in the end!
