News / Do you think that Polish catholics resent the new German Pope? [108]

I agree but scientists must proof their theories before announcing to be the only correct.

Scientists will announce some of their findings, even if incomplete, for the rest of the scientific community to express their views on new discoveries. It's called peer review. Sometimes the new discovery is proven wrong, sometimes gaps are filled in.

A religious equivalent of peer review is called blasphemy.

When we talking about beliefs then I don't need to question something which don't pretend to be science. When somebody would claim otherwise I would question his point and this would not be very difficult.

You missed my point. No matter though. You are comparing belief to fact anyway. You reject verifiable facts as full of holes, and yet you accept scriptures with all their internal inconsistencies.

History / Where do Polands non Jewish victims go? [64]

Quite right. Now please point out to me his deliberate policy of exterminating all Poles.

Well, I'm not gonna do your homework, but I can point you in the right direction.

In regards to Poles, read up on Gestapo-NKVD Conferences 1939/40. Especially pay attention to the proceedings 2nd and 3rd conference.

History / Where do Polands non Jewish victims go? [64]

If the people shipped to Siberia died, Stalin didn't give a crap. But he didn't go out of his way to make sure that those people did die. Better for him to have a nice large slave labour force. Jews however were subject to a policy which very deliberately killed them and which was focussed on their extermination. Heard of the "Final Solution".

Actually, both nations were subject to the same policy - the policy of exterminating the entire nation. Only you didn't know about it.

Gestapo and NKVD even set a time line of the extermination of Poles. It was to be complete by 1975. Some of the very few surviving Poles would have then be sent to Siberia. Speaking of Stalin's not caring.. well, not so sure if he really forcefully resettled millions of Ukrainians and others, many to their peril and death (holomodor). He did follow a clear policy of extermination of those who stood in the way of his grandiose plans.

Also, a quote from Hitler, sometimes used by some Jewish politicians and "historians" referred not to Jews but to Poles:

Accordingly I have placed my Totenkopf Units in readiness — for the present only in the East — with orders to them to send to death, mercilessly and without compassion, men, women, and children of Polish race and language . Only thus shall we gain the living space (Lebensraum) which we need.

The words in bold font is sometimes changed to Jewish, or omitted altogether.

I know that you and historical fact have never been close but do try and learn a little before you post here.

It appears this is now in your court.

History / Where do Polands non Jewish victims go? [64]

But a museum sepcifically about the Holocaust is about what happened to the jews as part of of a process that started in 1933

Actually, that started much earlier, and with Poles too.

Every country in europe helped them, including many poles.

Country? Not really. Poland did not help Nazis in the extermination of Jews. Some Poles did though, as well as some, ironically, Jews.

So trying to "join" the holocaust as if we all were in same boat is just bullsht.

Nobody is trying to join any boats, but facts are facts. Both Jews and Poles were to be exterminated as nations.

Europeans should find a better way to clean their conscience.

By doing what? By saying there is no suffering like Jewish suffering?
My conscience and that of hundreds of millions of Europeans is clear in that respect.

we suffered different fates

So tell me, what exactly is the difference between a dead Jew and a dead Pole, both killed by the nazi germans?

polish christians let the jews know exactly how polish they were.

Actually, most Jews isolated themselves form Poles voluntarily. Relatively few spoke Polish, even though their families had lived in Poland for generations.

USA, Canada / advice on where to live in Canada [64]

Quite fancy Toronto my self.

Used to be nice but a lot changed in the last 15 years.

Personally, I'd stay away unless you can afford one of those $2 mil houses, or like a 2 hour commute from one of the bedroom neighborhoods. The place is overpriced and crowded. The city somehow lacks a soul. Something I cannot describe.

Wifey always wanted to live in a large city, as she comes from Wroclaw and we used to live in NYC. But having been to TO numerous times we are happilly living about an hour away from it.

USA, Canada / advice on where to live in Canada [64]

Niagara Region in Ontario is ideal. In fact many Americans buy properties here.

Living in places such as St. Catharines, Thorold and vicinity you are just over an hour drive from Toronto and 15 minutes to the US border. Buffalo would be about 30 to 40 minutes away. St. Catharines has a community of about 10K Poles, and Polish stores good enough for Buffalonians( sp. ?) to drive up here to shop.

Property prices are half decent, depending on what your needs are.

Love / 5 ways how to pick up (cute Polish) guys? [146]

I also have a college diploma in photography

That is interesting. I like tinkering with processing digital photography, although lately not much time for that.

don't ever joke with a feminist;). they have no sense of humour;)

Oh I know.
I took a "women novelists" course once and I completely mixed Aphra Behn with mud,and then stomped her. I got 100% for the essay but the prof was pissed off with me :)

Life / Culture & Women [80]

For instance,The British in the Sudan in the 1880's and 90s were there on a "christian mission" to free the slaves. Of course now it would be seen as interfearing with a soverign nations right to self determination as witnessed by darfur.

you got a point there.

oh...really? is it the first time the topic goes off the topic....?
i was referring to jj.... and that's the topic when you think about that...

nice and dandy, but you were criticizing someone for answering the main question here, whether the topic now stays the same or not.

Love / 5 ways how to pick up (cute Polish) guys? [146]

wtf? so you do all that sh!t for a guy? and not for yourself?

Look at the subject of this thread.
She describes what she does to attract a guy, so in fact she does it for herself.

A girl can pick up a guy without wearing a cute dress

Not wearing anything would make it even easier.

I was so pissed about what you wrote. I still don't agree with you on a lot of things, but it makes me feel better knowing that you're not a guy saying that a woman needs to do this and this and this in order to remain attractive.

I'm kinda on the same page. Clean and well put together yes. But if a woman turns into a barbie doll than I tend to stay away wondering which poor bastard will have the misfortune to waste his life waiting for yet another touch of mascara, another gentle lift of a little hair (which will be wrecked by a breeze the moment she leaves the house), another nauseating fragrance that costs in excess of the annual budget of a small African country.

But then, there are guys like that too I guess.
