News / There is no Muslim in Poland [116]

As I read many Chechens don't stay in Poland despite oficial status. They leave for Germany and Belgium to become ilegals. Quite a surprising behaviour. Why not to spend some 6 years in Poland, receive citizenship and move longer?

ask them

What is the reason of such choice. Bialostok seems to be a conservative region that doesn't like new residents.

conservative doesnt mean rasist

Besides that agriculture in mountains was connected in the past with insecure climate and hunger death thread made them visit their neighbours and taking hostages in order to receive meal in exchange.

truhlei,

Look Tatars are musilm, with fare east origin, and they live here in peace for 500 years. It is not about religion/rase. We have our model of society, and they dont even try to learn it. It is a problem. I dont see the posibility to let them cultivate traditions you mentioned ;)

its called marketing - thats how they get the punters through the door and on their books......not difficult to understand really!

I would be glad to see them back home, I m Polish employer, and I see we need them here, I dont think that "closing the door" is the right thing (more and more countries open their countries for Poles) but I noticed that for you it is to much and for us it is to much as well

News / There is no Muslim in Poland [116]

escribe these "new muslims".The fact you know they hate Tatars shows that you know smth. about them.

Good example are Czeczen refugies ... I can agree with Russians that they are mafia, they live mostly in Bialystok (nearest big town from Tatars vilages) they dont want to work (thwere is a lot of work on construcions) they prefere our benefits and life in crime. At the begining they were really welcomened because they are Russinas victims as we were, but to be honest If they are not going to learn for Tatars how to live in Poland they will have problems ... In our history we had stronger machos trying to rule on our streets, and trying to change our customs. This lesson we have done properly.

[quote=isthatu]The pre 1939 war official muslim oath of loyalty to the Polish army,so there.../quote]
As to Tatars, Yes they were always ok, never betrayed they had separate army units and were extremly good, they were checked in wars against other muslims... There are about 3 vilages near Belarusian border. They live their life and pray in their vilages in mosiques for 500 years they respect our law ... What can be interesting, "new" musilims in our country conisder them as traitors and even dont let them to pray together ...

What is more, they have their own customs and it is ok, never complained that orodox and catolics (in this region 3 religions lives together) celebrates their chrismasts, eastern in way they want ... I think our model of is much better than this which we have in some EU countries. When it is imposible to have Nativy plays, beacuse someone can be offended ...

UK, Ireland / Polish Thoughts on Britain and the British [273]

What do I think about UK, historicaly we had neutral relationship, sometimes we were enemies (because of our good realtionship with France) we were alied durring WWII.

So all in all we had better friends as well as enemies

According to present, I m realy glad you opened for our citizens your country, I m surprised that after coming about 0.5-1 mln of our citizens there are no tensions or they are not so common.

I have been to London myself, only for 4 days, but London was realy nice. I noticed that Paris is more about culture and London is more about money (as to your competition with France) I really enjoyed London ;))) And all in all you opened your country for Poles, and France is still partly closed ...

I think that UK have made good investition by this move, your reputation in my country increased, and I think you will use it for long time. What means English products are more popular, more people study your history, and your point of view in different cases is better undestood ...

I have trade contact with UK and I find british people as a good business partners.

News / There is no Muslim in Poland [116]

Hehe ,no muslim in Poland is like the Iranian president said there was no homosexuals in Iran ^^

try to tell Scot that he is English ...

or try to tell Dutch that he is German

Try to tell Bask that he ie Spanish

Or try to tell Spanish that he is Bask

And it isnt that we dont acceptate our origin but the truth is that we had wars against Turkey on the teritories of nowadays Ukraina (and we beaten them), Tatars were mainly living on nowadays Bielarus and Ukraina, and sience shows that in our DNA there is less marks of nations coming form Middle east than most of EU countries. It is not about our acceptation but only truth. The different case is that we were tolerant for miniorietes coming form this region.

try to tell Spanish that he is Arab

try to tell English that he is Pakistan

there are a lot of Pakistan people in England and English people are (more or less) tolerant ...

try to tell German that he is Turkey ... (in nearest future it may become truth lol)

News / Puzzler, what are your TRUE thoughts on Poland and it's place in the EU? [29]

Yes ;) It is main reason, and I hope EU will be successful project, living in good friendship with USA. You should notice Europe changed leaders, and new one doesnt seam to be so naive in relationships with Russia, all in all strong EU is in our business ...

OK I will copy witek from other discussion :

"Middle Eastern haplogroups such as J and G are also uncommon in Poland. Wheras Western and Southern European populations, as well as the Ukranians and southwest Russians, carry more of these Middle Eastern markers than Poles. This argues against any significant Jewish, Armenian and Turkish influence on the present Polish population, despite these groups' well documented presence in Polish history."

If you are trying to defend your "whiteness", you are racist!

it is not about being tolerant but about true.

History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

Lukasz you have started admiring by freedom. Now you are for opression of protestants. Even in the perioud when religious minorities weren't persecuted in different states (even in Russia if we discuss German protestants).Clear your ideas please.

I haven't told that we should oppres protestants this time, because a lot of Poles were protestants this time ... All in all when there were religious wars in whole Europe, all refugees were coming to Poland because we had religious freedom. And we made good business on it. But especially Germans were refugees we will remember long time, firstly smilling hard working peaceful settlers, later ...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germanization

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifth_column

All in all muslim will do the same with them now ... what is really good

While the Americans and Western Europeans actively discuss information about future Renault-Nissan car for 3000 USD. They are enthusiastic

Im not going to discuss the case of low cost, and to be honest when somebody will invent somthing like that we will get it

History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

Why in this case the reputation of Poles is so different in 16-17 centuries and in 19-21?Formerly Poles were enemies for many its neighbours but highly respected enemies. Nobody told about Polish-Lithuanian szlachta anything common with today opinion in Germany for example.

Look on the map in one of my privious posts, they were our fief than. They had to be polite. They were protestant (Germans from Prussia) (they were beging our King on the knees for permition to become protestant), pope asked us to smash them. But we were tolerant ... and we gave them live in way they wanted ... The bigest mistake in our history ...

History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

I don't think that occures only because they were Polish.

I dont mean they were Polish(most Poles form there lives now in western Poland mainly Wrocław/Breslau) , but that they know democracy and other life. And idependent Ukraina is our natural ally, dependent Ukraina is problem ...

History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

LOL Germans were always Polonophobic with anty-Polish propaganda. Read some books ...

We dont worry they were on the knees as well :)))

Hold Pruski

Do you know that after smashing your army in 1914 near Tanennberg they told that it was the revange for Poles (there were some Lithuenians, Tatars, and Smolensk troops) smahing them in 1410 in the bigest medieval battle (Grunwald very close to Tannenberg).

Grunwald Poland

The true is that for them slav is slav

History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

When RP democracy was in action that was a nice example.

we play the same games all the time ...

Look on the map, terietories which belonged to Poland votes for democracy, especially those which were in Poland in 1918-39 . they tasted life in Poland and in Russia.

232er

It could go better, but it seams that Ukrainians catched the rules of free election ... so it is good step. We had our Oleksy as well, so maybe Jankuwicz will not be so bad. We will see after up coming elections. But the people on the streets knows what they want ...

History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

So RP was a winner. Not by its force but in more glorious case: by its model.

Agree we were so stron because of our model, everybody wanted to join us to get the same rights as our citizens. That is why our neighbours were so furious about our contitution in XVIII century ...

wewer

Many discriminations of Orthodox minorities were noticed not only by Eastern residents but also by Western Europeans. There were also problems not only with Orthodox people but also with Slovak minority.

Oh yes minorietes had easy life in our neighbours countries ... espesialy in Hitles Germany, or ortodox in soviet union ... That is why they were coming to Poland
