IMHO, this tends not to work very quickly with people of his ilk. The quickest way to rid us of their inflammatory commnets would be to just ignore every comment until they get bored and go away. Rising to the bait just prolongs the problem.
It would have been much more effective to break him with well thought out responses backed by facts and watch him squirm.

To repeat myself (not unknown) I think we smile to be polite in the UK whereas Polish people tend, in my limited experience, to smile when they are amused. They also tend to be a little more reserved and formal when first meeting someone. But when the smiles come they are warm and genuine. None of that 'have a nice day and give me a tip' smiling that you sometimes (and I repeat) sometimes get in the US for example.

One of my favourite rabbit recipes

Rabbit and Lemon Tagine
Recipe :
Peel and chop onions, crush garlic and chop herbs.
Melt butter in a large pan, brown meat.
Add onions once rabbit is golden.
Cook for a few more minutes, then remove liver from heat.
Add ginger, cumin, cinnamon, saffron and crushed garlic, then stir in 300ml stock.
Season.
