- the currency written against amounts - for eg. is it PLN 15000 or 15000 PLN or zl 15000?

15000 PLN or 15000 zł

amount format generally - for eg is it 11,34,000 or 11 34 000 or 11.34.000 or 1134000 etc..

1134000 or 1.134.000....

- the date format used - is it 02 Feb 2008 or 02-02-08 or what else?

Just look at Germany, Britain, or the USA; all these nations are suffering major economic problems

May God make Poland have only economical problems like these countries. If you mean "social" situation then of course in many western countries It's not good but It's not really great here either and I don't see how not making ourselves richer would make that better.

These government given subsidies are wrong but in this case that wouldn't really change anything. Vast majority of people wouldn't pay less for funerals. Besides I think that subsidies can't even cover minimal costs.
