TO GO OR NOT TO GO (to visit my Polish boy-friend in Poland)

OK guys, help needed here please. I am going to stay with my Polish friend in a couple of months, we met whilst he worked in the UK. He went home to Poland in October. I hate to say but I totally fell for him. I think he felt the same, but never said anything. I am seriously worried that I will fall for him all over again when I visit him. My head says don't go but my heart says go, go go!!!! Any suggestions???

I'm afraid it's only a decision that you can make.... My advice is to follow your heart rather than your head as it is more how you feel abt this guy.....

What's there to hate about it? If you're in love, you're in love. Nothing you can do about it. And if he feels the same, why not?

I have to inform you though of that ancient Polish habit of eating the ppl they love.

:)

But seriously, I think you should go. If you love someone, there should be no boundaries or something.

He could eat me any time he wanted - lol

There hasn't been one day where he hasn't been the first and last thing I think about during the day, it's gotten slightly easier but I know that when I see him again it'll start all over again!!!! (God forbid it will make me even worse) :.)

based on your previous postings.. definitely do NOT go.. i am not sure if you're stable enough to handle possibilities waiting for you in PL.

Why not..... go for it. You never know what you can be missing if you don't. Just don't wear your heart on your sleeve.

no i didn't tell her to go - i said good luck - with whatever she decides. we can't tell her what to do :)

Edit: we'll tell her to go - she'll go and may get her heart broken - will be our fault
we'll tell her not to go - she won't and break her own heart - will also be our fault
no way that i'm going to tell her what to do ;)

you can't be sure that she will :)
we can also not be sure that she won't :)

Edit: if she does get herself in a mess, maybe she'll learn something

Thanks for those replies guys, although I do feel you make out to be slightly nutty :.) I will take whatever happens - it's a beautiful country, I love the Polish people, so I'm really looking forward to it - I'll just make sure I'm looking gorgeous when I get off that plane!!!

plk123 and Mufasa - you both cheered up my day, you're so funny xx

czesc!! hi browsing on the web to learn some polish phrases and i found this site. i read your thread and registered.

I met a beautiful polish girl while getting my dinner at a shop in england. As soon as I saw her i fell in love. Unfortunatly we only spent nearly 4 moths together as she had to return to Poland to finish her study.

We spent 3 weeks apart and missed each other so much I dropped tools(builder's phrase) and flew to Poland. I couldn't speak any polish, but now i'm getting the basics.

I spent 6 weeks there just got back on monday. met new friends, loved the food (big BIGOS fan) .

SO YES IF YOU LOVE HIM, HE LOVES YOU THERE IS NOTHING TO BE SCARED OF APART FROM COMING HOME!!!!!

I loved it, and it proved to us both how much we loved each other.

my boyfriend doesnt want me to go to poland to see him-says age difference is a problem-he says he misses me-but he is not downing tools to be with me- so i guess he doesnt love me as much as i love him. i said i would go to see him but he said no-wait until he comes to england. i wonder what would happen if i went there?

Why hide someone you really love? Nothing else would matter..age...size..

What the hell is wrong with you women? If a guy really loves you it won't take an internet message board to let you know. YOU will know.

Do yourselves a favor and keep moving until you find someone that doesn't make you all freaked out.

Relying on total strangers for validation is a major set up for failure.

Ancilla, you seem to be a pretty sad and immature person. Hope you will feel more confident about yourself and have a more interesting life soon so that you need not get your kicks making up stories on a forum. :)

I agree with Jones.

So many disasters begin with this scenario.
