mandat was the first word i learnt in polish
used to get pulled by the rozzers everyother day back in the 90s, never happens now which i guess is becuase ive learnt to drive like a kuntt, i mean local

It is the exterior wall that is 0.52 meter out. Up to 0.50 they said was "forgiveable".
of course you pointed out that his measurements were wrong

driving along the trojmiasta obwodnica totally unaware theres such a thing as 'the wrong lane' in poland when some turd gets irate that he cant pass me.
flashes his lights, i flick him the bird. i pull off at spacerowa, he pulls off at spacerowa. i think here we go, he mounts the bank to get in front of me and slams on the breaks.
he jumps out the car, i wind my window up. he runs over screaming, i open the door on his head. he learns his lesson the hard way, i drive off

good point
the number of foreigners driving dangerously on british roads is a growing concern
had to be asked ;)
boy racer syndrome at 35 is a recipe for disaster
where as in many countries you get your first car and drive like a twat at a young age, many poles are getting their first car a lot older and driving like twats when they should have matured a little

The roads are bad and fairly dangerous but I think the level of accidents are down to the total lack of talent, common sense and a general disregard for other road users which 90% of polish drivers seem to display.

what saddens me is that like with so many things, the poles think they are better drivers than they really are.
and you know what, there comes a time when you are blue in the face from telling them to drive carefully when youve just got to say listen, go cry at your graves, what do i care. and stop blaming it on the roads

having lived in more countries than you have fingers, i have yet to experience a country other than poland whose national self-perception is so far removed from reality... which of course goes someway to explain the polish psyke and how they are viewed by others

but what im wondering david is that having an esol qualification sort of suggests that youre not a native speaker, which might hinder you when looking for teaching work unless you are polish

an esol qualification will tell people you can speak english to a certain level so might not really be a help in poland
a tesol qualification, or the celta, will stand you in much better stead for finding work, as and english teacher
