UK, Ireland / Unemployed due to Polish who work in the UK [126]

It may sound cute :) but when it comes to living and working in these countries i would prefer to have an accent that people are able to understand.For one it shows my respect to the country and for two it makes my life easier. It gives me an opportunity for a better job.

it really doesn't matter if you have an accent or not.

, I had a job working in manual labour , when i was made redundent because they wanted to get two poles for the price of me, I have been out of work for a month and am behind in my rent and facing eviction , only to have poles move in opposite who apparently have just come to this country, but have sky TV a new car, and brand new clothes.

Ashkenazi Jews descend from the medieval Jewish communities of the Rhineland, "Ashkenaz" being the Medieval Hebrew name for Germany. They migrated there from the Middle East between the 5th- 10th century.

the Khazar theory has been adopted by anti-Semites who argue that if Ashkenazi Jews are Khazar and not Semetic in origin then the Jews would have no historical claim to Israel.

no modern mainstream scholars support this theory.

Czechs were always pro-German and Austrian

Czech republic ( Bohemia and Moravia) was under Hasburg rule from 1526 until 1918 when the Austro-Hungarian Empire collapsed.

then in 1938 the Czechs let the Germans walk in and take over their country without putting up a fight.

Yet they live in America? Surely their pure-polishness get influenced by out-of polish customs, food, music etc. Or they'd still be back in poland.

in places with big Polish populations like Chicago you don't even have to speak english to live , work or run a business as you handle everything at Polish run banks, Polish lawyers, Polish bakieries, Polish grocery stores, Polish doctors, Polish coffee shops, bars, restaurants and so on.

Or they'd still be back in poland.

People immigrate mainly for financial reasons, not because they find American, Canadian or British culture fascinating.

What some of us (ladies) keep wishing for is that men not to focus so much on physical appearance. Physical appearnaces change...for men and women. You can't build a relationship on that alone.

let us then switch to how knowledgeable Canadian or American women are on subjects such as history, geography or philosophy. Most know very little.

hateful people dont find love.. witek I know your have better person in you that this.

this is how i see things. girls here are too fat. sorry. maybe food is too cheap relative to wages.

my friend Borys from Poland came to visit me in Chicago and also stated that there are not too many good looking girls in North America. He travelled across Canada for 2 months and then travelled for 3 months across America and said that the best girls in North America are in Quebec.

you got a point I see where you come from and I agree but still on and off Poland could be doimg better still far very far from good , is better , is improving , but I still think is a long way to go when more then 1 million people move or is a natural disaster or war or soemthing is really really bad !!!!!

hence there are many opportunties to invest $$$ in Poland

Many Canadian and Americans girls are:

1. fat as all they do is lay on the couch and watch T.V. and eat potato chips Mcdonalds.

2. selfish most women here are very selfish as they only think about themselves and their needs.

Agree.Just visit a vaccation place of eastern european women like Odessa,Yalta,Sopot,Alanya,resorts in Croatia,Hurganda and you will forget your native country.Czech,slovak,polish,russian,ukrainian and serbian bodies will make your iris dilate for a long time.

i agree Slavic girls are the best. American, British and German girls aren't as beautiful and feminine as Slavic girls.

Life / Jaywalking in Poland ? [38]

got fined in Kutno for jaywalking - 250 zloty. I tried the old "ignorant foreigner" trick but this was not accepted so I said OK, I'll pay the fine expecting it to be about 20 zloty and was amazed when it was 250 - thats a weeks wages for the average citizen of Kutno.

in November i was in Warsaw visiting a friend and decided to walk to Arkadia and was caught by the police for jaywalking. i was afraid i would have to pay a "fine" so i made up a surname "Goldberg" which puzzled the police officers because it didn't sound like a typical Polish surname to them and then to my astonishment they let me go.
