Do Polish Women Date American Men?

I work and live in an area of Chicago that is very Polish. I'm surrounded by beautiful Polish girls all the time and have even gone to some of the Polish clubs nearby. But it always seems like the Polish girls are exclusively with Polish guys. Also, does it have anything to do with being Catholic? It seems the majority of Polish people are Catholic. I am a Christian who attends church regularly, but not a Catholic church.

So just wondering if the American guy of Irish/German descent should even bother asking out a Polish girl.

Polish girls are no different to any other european girls. They dont date depending on race, origin ect, but rather on matters of the heart - your looks, personality ect. Of course it vary's with every girl. As it does with American girls, spanish girls, south african girls...etc

Just a Q? but why do people think polish girls are soooo different. As if they have rules and regulations or a book of laws written on their underwear or something?

Not meaning to be rude, just wondering!
:)

I'm Polish and have dated american guys. One of my family members is also married to an american guy. We do perfer catholic, but like someone said it really depends on the matters of heart too, so generally if it's Christian it works. It's rare though to see that a polish girl will marry someone of non-european descent, i.e. we generally marry caucasian guys. I did see a polish girl though at the airport in Poland with an african american guy, and another with one of asian origin so there are exceptions.

they communicate in Polish, eat Polish food , listen to Polish music and share similar customs

Yet they live in America? Surely their pure-polishness get influenced by out-of polish customs, food, music etc. Or they'd still be back in poland.

You don't think that's true? How many polish people in Poland do you see marry interracially, seriously. Just stating a fact..

Thats only because in poland there is not much choice :)
But outside poland, polish girl would date or marry whoever is good for her without looking on religion or race.

Hmmm... so it sounds like asking out a Polish girl is not out of the question. I appreciate the feedback. The reason I asked is simply because of all the Polish girls at my work, and there are tons of them, i've never seen one with an American boyfriend or husband so I was starting to wonder.

in places with big Polish populations like Chicago you don't even have to speak english to live , work or run a business as you handle everything at Polish run banks, Polish lawyers, Polish bakieries, Polish grocery stores, Polish doctors, Polish coffee shops, bars, restaurants and so on.

Or they'd still be back in poland.

People immigrate mainly for financial reasons, not because they find American, Canadian or British culture fascinating.

Well, I can say one does.

The question could easily be reworded to "Do American Men Date Polish Women?" The only actual barriers is finding someone who you actually click with, the minor cultural and language differences (most younger polish women I have had contact with - and I currently live in Krakow - speak almost fluent english) shouldnt be a problem as personalities and personal goals and tastes are much more important in any form of a relationship.

The reason perhaps is that its not so prevalent is history, customs and fear can keep both sides (Polish and American) from opening up to and attempting a relationship with the other. Also as Witek mentioned, many polish girls in America immigrate not looking for something new but looking for better financial circumstances, but this doesnt mean that love or a relationship isnt possible. It can get anyone in the strangest of places and circumstances if they are willing to give it a chance.

Well honey at my English school we have teachers from India/Canada, Brazil, England, America, Germany all married to Polish women. My wife also has two friends married to African-Americans. I think once Polish women get a sample they enjoy the exotic fruits.

You just don't get an ample sample in Polska. And I do think most Polish women leave to their spouses' countries after marriage, because once they see another country operating properly they don't like to return. But theKruk stayed as did all the other gentlemen at my school.

Iwona is probably busy. She didn't call us up either.

Just to add to the mix here... a few years ago, I believe about two or three, a Polish woman was kidnapped by terrorists/insurgents in Iraq. She was married to a local Iraqi man and had lived here for some years. Incidentally, she got released safely.

Do Polish Women Date American Men?

Surely they do. Whenever I and my Polish wife meet an American, after they find out we are Polish, their reply is "Oh, I date/used to date a Polish girl too!". So it's very common, at least in Chicago, USA.

Well I finally broke the ice and introduced myself to this very cute Polish girl at my work. I've said hello in passing before but finally asked her name today. She was very polite and even put her hand out to shake hands. :)
