No, I have not got the time to read through miles and miles of former discussions. I normally only read the very first and the very last one

you keep acting like an expert of some kind but the info

Who says I am an expert? Of what? You go on about your Polish education, not me. Although, it is true to say, that I have seen Poland from first hand experience on a very good deep personal level. I do not know the country so well today, in fact I certainly do not want to know the flaming country as it is today. I know what I see in this country with my own eyes if that counts for anything. Wystarczy?

nes who fail in the competitive polish exams for university entrance. In this case students who can afford to study in England represent a kind of new elite middle class descendants and not something spec

The reason they come here is that in Poland if you fail to get in to their universities you have two years National Service awaiting you! They, the poles, are not totally silly!

I have always imagined that the education in Wales to be quite good, at least, if not better than over the border in England.

So, for those of you questioning why the PL are UK bound, here's a good example of why. It's called hard

It is also because getting in to a British university is so much easier than back home in Poland where the selection process is so very competitive. Also, it is quite cheap here, £1000 per year tuition fees all on borrowed money-it can not be at all bad.

Love / WHY DO POLISH WIVES WHO ARE AWAY NOT VISIT THEIR HUSBANDS? [75]

Many times the man comes to England to find work and if they have children to support and who are going to school then it may not be practical to keep coming to England. You can not leave a flat empty in Poland because of the crime rate so it makes families stay together at home. I think that women too are more home lovers and it is left more to the men to go abroad and look for work. In Guildford we have many bus drivers who live together and rent a house between them. It would not be practical for a whole family to live together in one room so the men probably work long hours including over time and then send the money back to their respective 'panies'. Once the men become established and can earn enough money to keep their own house or flat they invite the whole family over and that is what is beginning to happen in Guildford.

Love / POLISH SIBLINGS SLEEPING TOGETHER! [172]

how sure are you that she is definitely his sister and not a friend or girlfriend?? It sounds extremely strange to me.

To tell you the truth when reading this story, I had exactly the same thoughts. It is quite probable that they are 'friends' from back home and he is just saying to you that it is his sister. Does she look like him? Are there facial similarities? If you ask him and he says that they are only half brother and sister then you know he is lying. Have you seen her passport for a name reference? The Polish are quite good at having 'Jeckle and Hyde (if that is how you spell it) characters and they do indeed lie and talk rubbish a lot. I was once in Gorzow Wielkopolski and a couple came to the flat where I was staying. She was very nice and invited me out to a new pizzeria the following evening. I knew she would not come and I was right, she did not. The following evening again, they came to the flat. "What about that new pizzeria?" I asked. "Oh, no, there are really no nice pizzerias in Gorzow". Ask yourself the logic to this? I know it is a small point in comparison to your situation but the Poles love to talk rubbish. Have you got her name and a phone number back in Poland? Maybe you could get a Polish speaking friend to phone her and ask in a around-about sort of a way as to exactly who she is. I suspect what is really going on here. He is simply two-timing you. If you allow them to, the Poles like to get away with murder.

They probably make a lot of money from these schools and it is cheaper to hire Poles who may be even illegal and therefore you do not have to pay National Insurance Contributions.

News / Air-show accident in Poland [81]

and we assasinate them.

No, no, no, no! It is the Russians who have traditionally hated the Poles and have always killed them in huge numbers. I do not know where you have this thing about 'we assassinate them' from because in the last war the Poles put up a dreadfully week performance. please also note the correct spelling of the word assassinate!

I think really he needs to buy a simple book and learn as he goes. If you try to 'spoon feed' someone with too much too soon, it becomes an 'uphill struggle'.

News / Eurovision Dance Contest; the Polish band was quite good [21]

Cyprus always votes and gives its 'douse points' to Greece and vice versa and also I noticed in the last European Song Contest that all of Eastern Europe also voted for each other so it obviously reflects something in human nature.

she is the wife of one of the two twins named Zdunski.

I remember now that in the show, M jak Milosc she is called Kinga!

he 'Scandinavians' sticking together, the 'West' against the 'East,' and the like. It's all repulsively politicised crap. And yes, no nation - not j

Generally, the Scandinavians are not so bad as some of the others in this regard.

I even saw that part of the show on television. The Polish girl dancer is really nice and is a famous actress in Poland and plays a part in M jak Milosc, she is the wife of one of the two twins named Zdunski.

History / Memories of the Polish communist era [115]

I sometimes wonder what she actually finds here of interest on this forum as there seems to be no real mention of politics and certainly nothing to do with Poland or the language. She does not seem to be very well educated at all. Maybe it is just the companionship she can make with other similar girls I suppose that we all need a 'moral crutch' in life. Either you are married with a family or if you are a female you buy a horse. I think it is a control element. Women like to be in charge, maybe that is why people like animals and have a dog. You throw a stick and the dog fetches it its a strange sort of ownership. Otherwise the middle class like to attend church, it is the coming together of similar schooled people. People can often find their 'soul mate through church services.

esides, you just used a present tense. You said, you never go to Poland. Get your stories straight, you... you know what.

I never go to Poland as my wife will not allow it. Apparantly after about three days I just start to complain so now she always goes without me. I do not really mind as it givers me the chance to go further afield and see other better things and there are, believe me, better things in life than Poland.

Cor you are a weird TROLL !!!!

So are you! You try to make yourself polish with all this talk of 'ingrained' and you do not know the first thing about communism or Eastern Europe. If you were shown a map of Europe with the country's names blacked out, could you point to more than two countries in the former Eastern Europe and even give them their correct names? You are the 'troll', whatever that is supposed to mean.

) But hey, in the name of polish people I forgive him. :)

That is very kind of you indeed. I am sure that will really help me and make me feel a lot better.

y...........it's ingrained in me....

Why, you are English are you not? Why are things ingrained in to you? I find that a strange stance. You live in England and you must live by the rules and social behaviour that is expected of you in this country.

It probably never really does for long as human nature is so week. You only have to look at the fickle polish Roman Catholic Church to see what a nasty false vile organization it really is. When I drive through Poland and see all the faithful walking to church I simply laugh and then look the other way.

Because, simply, you are a silly little girl with too much spare time on your hands. Why not go in to the kitchen and do the washing up?
