Banging into people when you're drunk isn't really a sign of rudeness I guess, more a sign of "tipsyness" but pouring drinks over peoples belongings is just bad manners whether the person is drunk or not. Being drunk is not an excuse for bad behaviour.

When I drink I sometimes get the giggles. :)

Yeah I'm with Switezianka, you need to change where you drink. Obviously they don't mind people there who drink until they fall down. Drinks get spilled by accident but when it's done deliberately then you know that person has a nasty streak in them. While I would always advise going to the police so that they are aware of the situation, I have to agree that the police in Poland would probably class this as a domestic bust-up and not really do much about it. They might speak to the guy involved and scare him up a little but I doubt they would do much more. It's sad to say but the Police in Poland will not take this too seriously at this point. It's much like the UK until recently, things classed as "domestic incidents" were treated with a lower level of priority than other crimes.

I have periodic arguments with a Polish male friend and he's so laid back and when I think about it afterwards I realise it's usually my fault because I have been in a bad mood. When he is in a bad mood I usually let it slide. We've never fallen out even over the worst arguments.

So yes, I am with gtd and Wroclaw, I think this guy is wanting to reduce your friendship so is being like this because of that.

To answer Wyspianska's original problem though - you've just come across an age old scenario. Mother's of boys always test their girlfriends. It's nothing new. You should look at ways of working through it rather than posting it all on the forums.

Throughout time humans have developed cures for various things or the human body has evolved to be less to prone to something. It is going the other way now though, bacteria mutating faster than be kept up with, antibiotics not being able to tackle them.

Okay though, lets forget about medicine for a while. Let's take a year of no vaccinations anywhere in the world and see how we cope. (Fact is we wouldn't because we are so used to having them).

I don't for sure. It's just a belief of mine that homosexuality is "just the way you are" in the same way that I am heterosexual. There's nothing that indicates to me that it's an illness so therefore it doesn't require a cure and probably can't be stopped.

I do have a question for those who believe homosexuality is a disease or illness - what are the symptoms?

Disease is something the human race is trying to eradicate and yes, each disease is a trial to the human race throughout time. So no, medical research/science is not a waste of time or money, without it we could have been wiped out before now by any number of diseases. Homosexuality is not something that medical research can eradicate though. Perhaps through time they might be able to isolate why some people are drawn to their own sex but I doubt they'll ever "cure" it.

That is indeed a very good point and it could well be the way the human race is destined. Over a longer period of time than a hundred years of course. ;) The natural process of human evolution might be homosexuality with the eventual result of extinction. Yes Edinburgh tourist spots on a Saturday, I have been there recently. I don't know that many people were smiling as they danced. Anyway, the fact is, smiling is relative and doesn't make a city. If you only half enjoyed your trip then at least you didn't completely hate it. ;)

Why is it that every time "Polish people" and "Britain" are mentioned in the one sentence it turns into a discussion/moan about immigration?

Fair enough, there are immigration concerns and, Mister H, you have written to your local MP and you have had no satisfaction over that. What else did you do?

I have Polish friends that have every intention of staying here and they are working hard so that in the future they will be able to give a better contribution to Britain. Probably a better contribution than some Brits are willing to give. My Polish friends are going through college, then university, one of them is working his way through the ranks in the kitchen where he works. It looks like he'll go to college next year to begin getting qualifications in the cookery business. He loves it. Not bad for someone who started as a kitchen porter.

Not all Polish people will stay here. A vast majority will actually head home to Poland in the next few years and then we might be struggling. Who'll take on the low-paid, menial jobs? Please answer me that one because it won't be the Brits. They wouldn't take the jobs before so why would they take them after?

I am sick to the back teeth about people moaning about Polish people in this country. Thread after thread after thread moaning about immigration issues here clears absolutely nothing up, it just annoys people and gives a negative attitude about Britain.
