USA, Canada / My personal (Polish) view on USA. [105]

has anyone else noticed the appauling driving in america...?

gotta put this down to loads of fat lazy mofos sitting in oversized cars with power steering and automatic gearing... when life is that easy why bother concentrating on whats goin on around you...?

Right on. We have some of the worst drivers, but our roads are bigger :) I didn't know you were in America. Most of these SUV's are driven by little women racing to get to the mall.

Where in the US is the woo?

Travel / Sailing in Poland [7]

From what I remember they were expensive wave runners (2 seater) were 100-150 zł per 30 min in Chłopy. Maybe you can shop around all of the beaches.

News / A friend murdered in Poland; what the Polish police can do? [69]

Outdated Aleksy...look for some new stats.

from above:
SOURCE: Seventh United Nations Survey of Crime Trends and Operations of Criminal Justice Systems, covering the period 1998 - 2000 (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Centre for International Crime Prevention)

none of these things are even broken down to types of crimes or wether or no they were found guilty and convicted. I'm not sticking up for anyone, but you need some solid info to go around calling people stupid.

because I think where-ever there are humans.... there are all kinds of them.

Thank you. I don't disagree with everything you have to say and many times have a respect for your words. Unfortunately, we as individuals do differ in our thoughts and it is frustrating when we don't agree :) Respect.

Witek...I'm sorry, but as a Canadian you can only assume how life is in America.

you don't matter in society. you are nothing because you are poor.

$$$ brings power and respekt

And it's sad that you think this way. It's called being sucked in by the media. LOL I matter very much every day and I live well. Yes, this is possible even if you aren't wealthy. You see, you're materialistic and that's why you see life in America for what ..it's not :) I on the other hand live and enjoy the simple things in life so I don't feel the stress of not buying fast cars and other luxuries. You'll grow up and learn soon enough. Yeah, it may appear that you need these things for a happy life, but the reality is that there are more satisfying things right in front of you...minus the $$ that's required. You just need a different outlook.

I agree with you comments Witek, unfortunately our brain washed Polish/Americans will be quick to respond with verbal abuse.

Lef...this is odd of you. I've never heard anything like this from you since I joined. I see we all change eventually. Witek deserves no verbal abuse because he doesn't know better. We are still a wonderful and caring people that will always be there for others, regardless of what jackass runs out country :) Thake care FISZ :)

Life / How do Polish view others [116]

Are you really happy with your governments current foreign policy?Young American men are dying every day if you don't read the papers.

No ones happy with the current policy. It's crap.

Who raped, pillaged and nearly wiped out the indigenous people's.

Sh*t happened....Some people are still proud to be American. My ancestors were here first, but I don't hold it against the Europeans. The world will continue to go around and horrible things will continue to happen...then WHOP!!! We'll be wiped out by a meteor :)

truth is that people simply do not like Germans !

I thought Americans/British were loud and obnoxious when I was out in Gdansk, but the Germans took the cake there.

News / A friend murdered in Poland; what the Polish police can do? [69]

I thought Poland was safe. Now I am nervous about my trip to Poland planned for next month.

Don't sweat it. You'll be fine. I've never had any problems...except in Chłopy with a small gaggle of drunken PL teens. But that wasn't a major issue.

What do the Poles consider to be rich?

Don't worry about that........But, Just like anywhere don't flash money.

Life / Poland: The Things That Make Foreigners Lift a Brow [123]

tripes ?-a typical polish dish? maybe in some cheap, old chavy pub

That was actually one of the first dishes that I tried in PL. I guess it's still popular with some families. Keep in mind that the articale isn't quite as EVERYONE in PL is. It's a general idea to give foreigners an idea.

poles talk all the time?

Yeah. I can honestly say that I was constantly answering questions ang having to partake in conversations. I guess you can say that PL are more family oriented than many families in the US. Many discussions at the dinner table.

relax a bit Sabina
