I dunno. If they were so good I'm puzzled as to why American car industry practically lost to Japan, Germany and Korea?

i don't know how you feel about unions (mainly uaw) but this isn't really the thread or maybe it is.. maybe the qualifier on productivity has to be "when actually working". lol

good find shopgirl. the US has always had the wild west thing going and everything here is $ driven. everything.. that's the big reason for what's going on right now. the problem is that everything is being outsourced outta here and shrubco really drained america, big time. :( bill maher said something about education on all his other points were pretty spot on.

personal opinion why america will be back on top soon enough: americans can work together better then the germans. there is no one that can out do america if america gets serious. the problem may be that america is dumbing down and maybe the ballance is shifting and the new generation will never step up like the older ones did.. we shall see.. if mac/lipstick win, game over and USA will officially suck. i may be out of here in a year or two. wheels are in motion. hehe

most definitely. your cheek bones aren't high but not all poles have high cheek bones. delicate chin is definitely a slavic trait too. i don't see latin in you but we only have one colour pic. it's hard to tell from the b/w ones. none the less, you're easy on the eyes. :D

since you mentioned cheeseland, you could have some norse blood in ya. :D

oh, your g-paps, a handsome dude, doesn't really look polish to me.

oh2, some mentioned irish, i can see that although all the irish i know have much more round faces and almost all have speckles and red hair. i sh.t you not. lol

i'd say injun may be your predominant feature. i wouldn't id you as slavic as my first choice but there are lot's of different looking poles.

for example, i always have hassled one of my closest buds about being roma.. he sure looks like one to me.. but that's most likely not the case (although he has a schemer streak in him. lol)... he is from silesia region.. another thing, in my whole family me and sis are the only people with blue eyes and/or blond hair.

oh z, the only reason jobs are going out of USA is because of the bottom line. statistically american workers still outproduce all others. and as much as it's hard to believe, america does have the best workers in the world.

nope. court provides the experts and the defendant has to prove them wrong. you're also basically assumed to be guilty until proven otherwise so there is no need to Miranda.

yes to the bench of judges, that's how it works there. juries.. never heard of one.

As for the future of the Catholic church, it is still afforded the opportunity to make its voice heard. Stations like Radio Maria make sure of that. Also, Poles must look inward. Many are not practising Catholics, this comes from their decision. Don't blame this on outside sources so much.

Freedoms haven't been removed.

Just don't play the poor us role too quickly. It's not as bad as u think.

Sometimes atheists or people like you react so sharply on catholics, from the other hand are much more impudent with their personal believes.

not just catholics. anyone with fervor gets noticed.

I can't think of one christian sect without some history of intolerance.

it's not two sided like you seem to see it. he states his belief and then tells you the dark truth about the other. that sure doesn't seem like preaching negativity.

ok, i'll go with that but overall slavic women are colder and mentally tougher. but yes, much more dainty.

I live in Northern Michigan. I have an associates degree and I'm able to find Office Management /bookkeeping positions that afford me a three bedroom, one and one half baths 1200 square foot house. Would this be comparable in Poland?

Not a chance.

yeah. living in america is easy. (sans the public transit)

depends what you mean by N MI, if it's UP then Poland will be quite a shock but our woods are similar. so are the temps and the weather, in general. Poland is packed full of people in comparison with MI N of Lansing. If you're outdoorsy, you will have plenty of choices but none will be remote or people free. Baltic water is about the same temp as L. MI. The other two GLs are colder. The scenery around the lakes is similar to the Baltic coast too.
