Damn! They don't want any refugees from the US? Well that sucks, because I had my loan chair with attached balloons all ready to go. Man, and to think I almost made it! ;)

Should Poland let in refugees from USA ?

Are you referring to DP's or all refugees. DP's from WW2 just to USA by 1953 600,000 and their children are still Polish citizens.

Only after they prove they are not terrorists.

How would they do that? If only there was a special test.

How would they do that?

A Pole can smell a terorrist miles away.

If only there was a special test.

You ask them like US do to issue visa.

'CATCH ME NOW I'M FALLING' By The Kinks

I remember when you were down
You would always come running to me
I never denied you and I would guide you
Through all of your difficulties
Now Im calling all citizens from all over the world
This is captain america calling
I bailed you out when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now Im falling

My vote for one of the classic joke threads by Greg. The Statue of Liberty mentions the plight of the huddled masses. I think Poland's version contains inverted fingers ;)

Global soup? Interesting phrase. America is very multicultural, that goes without saying (but I said it anyway :)). Poland doesn't want to set off on this path too much as it's going to be imposed somewhere down the line. Crow, you had a thread about Africans flooding Europe. Poland doesn't know what's round the corner. I need to send Rockefeller's book and the CFR/Trilateral Commission's manifesto to Tusk. They bastar*ised the Balkans, they can do it anywhere.

Global soup? Interesting phrase.

from a history of Serbian resistance to Borg

what's round the corner.

who gives a sh** if it isn`t Slavija

i am all for multiculturalism but its not ok that somebody feel necesity to impose multicultuealism on Slavs by force. Slavs have right to survive as unique, if they want so. That`s their God given right

And quite right. Had they surrendered, they would have been ripe for the pickings. Hail the Serbian spirit of resistance!!

Serbia proved that resistance is not futile. Arkan, love him or hate him, typified that spirit.

On the thread, Poland doesn't need American refugees.

Maybe you should start a 'How Slavic do you feel?' thread, Crow. Just to see how ethnically inclined Poles are. My contention is that they are more nationalistic and patriotic as Poles. Their history has taught them this, to be rugged and club together. Come here and you will see this.

LOL

I find this too very amusing for a Tuesday night at 23:28 :)

No, PL should never hail US refugees in. That will teach those Americans to desert the Poles 600 years ago.

Crow, did you know that the word "Slavic" comes from the fact that the Romans used them as slaves? Hm, Crow wants to go back in time. I propose for Crow to go a little bit further back in time :)

M-G, you are wrong. Słowianin comes from the word 'słowo', given by the Germans. Brak słowo to be exact. Just like Niemcy (Germanic tribes then, now Germany) which means mute/nie mowe.

Then Poles adopted the word słowianie for themselves, just like negroes have adopted the word nig*ers for themselves.

The Russians understood part of the Polish language but the Germans didn't. Poles perceived them as mute because of that.

Słowianin and słowo have the same Polish stem.

Slavic looks like an offshoot of slave but it didn't work that way. Slaves and old-style refugees, there's a connection :)
