Its been going on for years.....its just flavour of the month since 911/7/7....and assorted other events...........
What it really means now...is that the 99% of the public with legit passports are questioned and checked endlessly because of th 1% fakes etc...........
Personally.......if you're caught witha fake/illegal passport............automatic 15 yr sentence...why do you need one...unless you're either very nasty or a criminal!
Mind you its tuff on the persecuted who jump ship at short notice from the multiplicity of nutter regimes around the world!

This is still current practice in Catholic Ireland, most deceased people are "waked" in their family home, friends, family, neighbours, visit to say their last good byes, tell stories, touch base with long lost relatives - show their respect over a 24/36 hour period before the body is taken to the church for their requeim mass then onto be buried.
Its an old, old practice...I think its a wonderful way to see the deceased off this world and onto the next. Apart from those with a deadly disease/polonium poisoning(!!) then its perfectly safe!
And I want a cut of the action before I give you more

Well, as a comparator, of all the Irish who emigrated to the USA over the decades, only 6% ever returned to live in Ireland, but, from Italy, 56% returned.......quite a difference!
Don't ask me why though!
No-one knows how many will return and for what reason, all we do know is that joining the EU has allowed the migrant workers from the new countries to avail of much higher paid work than what was available back home...........it won't last for ever, things will change, but at least they got off their butts and tried to improve their lives......therefore you can't berate them for doing that.
Whether they moved inside Poland or inside the EU, is now immaterial....I hope they got as much from the migration as did their new EU neighbours!

There ALWAYS was an underbelly of social miscreants in UK, from as far back as time immemorial......famous old prints of Gin Lane in the East end of London, in the 1700s where drinking dens where so prevalent........alcohol and a flagrant attitude towards authority were the order of the day!

Maati, this was the case in the 50's, 60's even 70's for single ( older) Irish men who went to England, they weren't educated, did manual work, never really intregrated or moved up the ladder, ie couldn't afford to buy a house, always rented accommodation, never improved themselves.
So they were stuck, living hand to mouth, just able to meet their living costs and a lot of them became victims of a drink culture...it was all they knew.
So I am sure there will be instances of this too even today in UK/Ireland...not everyone who comes over is smart, progressive and can speak English, some will arrive with regrets...and leave with regrets........but you take your chances!!!.....!!

Ela, I don't know where Oslsztyn is or id near a big town, but I have no doubt if you are using an agent , if you need an English speaking notary and its a requirement to make the sale then your agent will do their utmost to accommodate you...as least I hope they would!
However if you see my costs list above, you'll note that neraly half of the cost of buying is paying an estate agent!!!
So if you can save on this aspect then you have quite a bit to play with, hopefully one or two of the other contributors will post on this thread too........but let us all know how you progress?...ok?
