UK, Ireland / Poles claim UK benefits after working only one year instead of going home [156]

Are you suggesting that you should only be entitled to claim an amount of benefit based on your NI contributions?

Isn't that tehnically what they do at the moment? You have to have paid in for a certain amount of time before you can claim.

Surely the government should ablolish it, and allow people who are earning to save for their own rainy day?

I opted out of SERPS so, technically you can do that.

If you have been making NI contributions continuously for 6 months then you are entitled to contribution based JSA for 6 months (i.e. you can receive benefit regardless of your partner's income or your capital/savings)

Not really true, if you have savings of £16,000 or more you can not claim JSA.

LMFAO - You honestly think that benefit entitlement should be determined by the amount of tax your parents paid? My old man was a director of a massive company and paid more tax than I will ever earn. He doesn't claim a state pension because he doesn't need to and doesn't want to, despite the fact that he is entitled to it, and has made the NI contributions. Should I be able to claim this? After all, he is my daddy ;-)

I think you knew what he meant, or did you just want to mention that your dad was sucessful?

What about the uneducated Poles?

Dont you think we have enough uneducated people of our own?

Like I have previously said, I audit benefit claims for a living so I would know...

In your spare time when you're not on here? Kind of figures now why the system is in such a bad state when half the staff are wasting time on the internet! Before you start on about me being on here, my salary doesn't come out the tax payers pocket!

There is a benefits culture in this country which, despite what Shelley will tell you, transends race/religion.

Not sure what that stats are Irons....but women from certain minority groups are less likely to ever work due to cultural issues.

UK, Ireland / Poles claim UK benefits after working only one year instead of going home [156]

I think that many Polish people that stay here are trapped here in a spiral of debt, the work has dried up and all that's left is the dole queue.

Actually they do have an option, they can go home, that's not an option for your average Brit with family and a mortgage!

And NO - he didn't come here because he couldn't find proper work in Poland.

Okay if you say so, it's funny that most of the poles that have good jobs that I know left Poland because they were sick of the low wages.

Well two of my friends invested about 20.000 £ each and opened sucesfull bisnesses there ...and they are not only ones.

Yeah because everyone has £20k to spare... ;0)

They do this by employing migrant labour to keep industry afloat

Not really, we don't have much in the way of industry or are you talking about the "service" industry? Which historically was serviced by students, we would find a way to manage, the country functioned before all the A8 countries joined the EU, I suspect we would manage if they were not here. I dont mean that to sound harsh but it's a fact.

Glaswegians are you noimmigration in disguse ?

God, you're quick ;0)

Below is a picture from London a couple of weeks ago it is about Britons protesting.
Ask yourself if Poles are the problem

Actually it was a couple of years ago, the photos have been re-circulated.

indeed a lot of indigenous people i know.

All my friends work and pay a lot of tax and NI and have done for many years...so don't give me that **** with the "lots" of indigenous people are lazy blah blah blah......

we are actually fighting your recession.

How? By losing menial jobs and claiming JSA and all the other benefits you can?

You definitely can go with this case to the EU court then

He can't go anywhere, they make the rules up as they go along, it's a down to how they feel on the day, there will always be a "good" excuse to why they didn't pay him.

I've actually decided to dump him for good.

Good, I tell you, the first signs of a man cheating is when they spout the crap about you being paranoid! Find a nice American guy, better the devil you know!

How could a Polish man ever compare to a German man, I mean, those leather shorts and bushy muzzies? It's a no brainer! Plus they have better beer and larger sausages!

Travel / Poland: What should I look forward to or avoid? Is it fun to visit? [34]

going to the loo without small change!

In general prepare yourself for a second world country, take the usual precautions as if you were traveling to a country say like Albania, but with a difference that it has benefited from some EU funding.

Come on! I've lived all my life in the UK and visited Poland 3 times and would never say it was a second world country, that's harsh!

UK, Ireland / Negative attitude towards Polish immigration in UK becoming stronger [90]

british jews (the very religious ones) that have i swear a whole bunch of kids and r not married legally just to get free huge houses from the council.everybody knows that but nobady does nothing.british ppl make me sick.

Ive never met a poor jew in my life, so I very much doubt they will be getting "free" anything! As for not being married legally, if they are not married they must be cohabitting, lots of brits do it!

british ppl make me sick.

Even the ones that employ you?

As stated by several people, you CAN NOT open a bank account for another person. Oh and YES romanians do have a bad reputation in the UK, you earnt it all by yourselves!

What was first law, agreement, rules, regulations or Poles?
If you are unhappy with that just change the regulations. Do not expect that people won't be very well-versed.

Tough new powers to remove Europeans who are not exercising their Treaty Rights - by working, studying or by being self-sufficient - were also introduced today. This will mean that anyone from Europe who is not playing by the rules will not be allowed to stay.

bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/newsarticles/Government-keeps-work-restrict

I would say that we are doing something ;0) I think the above means that people will get zip and will have no other option than to either work or return home.

Of course we (Polish men) are hotter. Look at Bratwurst Boy in his silly helmet.

I admire a man with a nice helmet! So the jerries win hands down ;0)

UK, Ireland / Poles claim UK benefits after working only one year instead of going home [156]

I read a report about a year ago that the majority of people who were born and raised in Scotland do not now live in Scotland, because they have migrated elsewhere.
Yes I need to give you a source, but if it is true then the Scots would be sucking the ENGLISH dry.

We have their oil, smoked salmon and Aberdeen angus, they have jobs in the England, sounds fair to me ;0)

Love / I can't trust Polish women any longer - where to meet a foreign girl? [123]

Maybe try and take some classes where foreign students are, try the pubs on the main square, Im sure there will be lots of foreign females. Try social networking sites that expats use.

As for somone having to be willing to stay in Poland, this is something you have to be quite frank about from the start, females in general, will always find it easier to be close to their families, in which case you have to be a very very special person for her to want to stay.

Good luck x

Just a word of warning, women are women no matter their nationality, there are good ones and bad ones, it's all down to the luck of the draw.

Love / Should I Be Nervous About Going to Poland? Black female dating a Pole. [158]

I wasn't tryna present maself as a "ghetto"

Then don't write like that:

Also just because you are black it doesn’t mean you have to speak in a certain way, it just perpetuates stereotypes, which are generally negative, we speak English in England and seeing my language completely butchered isn't nice and looks pretty common uneducated.

just incase you didn't see my original post.

Your yourself are proud to be Polish, aren't you? Is being Polish something you did to yourself or did you just happen to be born Polish? One would have to assume that if you look down on black pride you also look down on Polish pride. Or is it just that you apply one rule to whites and another to untermenschen?

Being proud of ones nationality is normal, Im proud to be English, can't say I've ever said "Im proud to be white", that's probably because I don't really consider it anything to be proud of, it's just a skin colour after all, there is also the fact I'd probably be branded a neo nazi for saying "Im white and proud"...

UK, Ireland / British Government keeps work restrictions for eastern Europeans [19]

Very well but are you doing something to bring about changes in the policy of your government? if not are youz venting YOUR frustriatons on the internet?

You tell me what I can do as an individual? And they are not just my frustrations, I can safely say I am in a growing majority who feel that this country is going down the pan and uncontrolled immigration and abuse of assylum has gone too far.

Love / Should I Be Nervous About Going to Poland? Black female dating a Pole. [158]

You've known him 6 weeks though ?

I do find it a bit strange that the Polish Lady just came up to the Granny's and said that to them, not even knowing them ? I just find it a little hard to believe.

What did they reply as someone must have translated what she said in Polish ?

My thoughts exactly - I smell a RAT

Love / Should I Be Nervous About Going to Poland? Black female dating a Pole. [158]

Wut rlly concerns me is the fact that this lady lives
in London and she reacted like this.

Why? You have to realise that not everyone enjoys England being so colourful.

Also just because you are black it doesn’t mean you have to speak in a certain way, it just perpetuates stereotypes, which are generally negative, we speak English in England and seeing my language completely butchered isn't nice and looks pretty common uneducated.
