Love / Polish women are known for their beauty, but men are so ugly (most of).. [250]

hey justynia thanks for sticking up for us english girls.

ahh that's alright, i think that the beauty of English girls is definitely not being appreciated, especially now after the influx of 'hot' slavic women. it is true, most of us are very thin and have nice bodies, but like seanus (or someone else i can't remember now lol) said, it's sadly a fact that if the girl is amazingly beautiful, she might have a nasty personality, or no personality at all, and expect everyone to treat her like a princess... i lived here for 4 years now and it really strikes me how gorgeous and pampered (yes!) the British girls are. Polish girls all tend to look the same, same sorta clothes, shoes, same haircut and hair colour etc., cos in Poland if you dare to stand out you will get stared at so they still do all that even though they are in UK now. i very often recognise Poles on the street just because of the clothes they wear, or their hair. I love fashion here, i love it how everyone has their own style and they can wear whatever they want, cut their hair however they wish and nobody will look at them with their mouth open. i always stand out on the street in Poland lol, i don't care whats "in" at the moment cos that's what ALL Polish girls will wear. I look foreign over there, eek! lol

yeah....you can see on PFs how big of a difference it makes if somebody posts a picture of himself... a career from unnoticeable to bothered by stalkers...

tell me about it! lol!

No matter how much character a person's got, no one likes a minger.

i have this thing that when i see someone who is really really bad looking, i feel all sad and i wanna go give them a cuddle. no joke, i'm like this! we were sat in a cafe and this not so handsome geeky guy was walking around looking for free seats. he looked so sad and lonely, i really wanted to ask him to sit with us, but my boyfriend didn't let me! lol.

Love / Polish women are known for their beauty, but men are so ugly (most of).. [250]

ugly men with shorts and t-shirts without sleaves to walk next to beautifuls girls....

oh yeah, it seems to be a weird sorta rule that the hotter a Polish girl is, the uglier boyfriend she picks. it's true! i see couples like that all the time, a beautiful, tall, leggy girl with a short, bulky (no neck lol), bald and spotty guy...

but to be honest, this myth about all Polish girls being gorgeous is so not true. i see lots of fellow Polish ladies who by the looks of it are addicted to sunbeds and bleaching their hair blonde, and still wearing clothes they bought at a market in Poland (denim jackets, white see through trousers etc.)... and i know this will sound well odd, but i reckon British girls, especially the really young ones (jail bait lol) are absolutely stunning! they all look like models, they have pretty little faces, immaculate hair, trendy clothes... seriously, i mean i find them hard to compete with, i never looked like THAT when i was 14 and it takes me a while to make myself look like that now lol! maybe there were a few 'models' like that at school, but not even close to what you see in Britain. here they know all about fashion, hair styling, make up techniques, and at the same time it all looks so efortless and natural, i'm jealous! a few Polish girls with excessive make up, too much tan and clashing highlights in their hair, carrying bags from a Polish shop or poundland... or a group of English schoolgirls on a day out shopping, all looking as if they've been taken out of a maybelline ad... you gotta see this for yourself, there is no comparison. hardly ever do i get to see a Polish girl who is an efortless, natural beauty, or a Polish girl who knows how to put make up on properly without overdoing it so it highlights her features rather than making her look like a barbie doll... this is not just my opinion by the way! there are many many many Polish beauties, but you don't see them in large numbers in UK so much, maybe that's what it is? lol. when i go out with my English friends and they introduce me to someone Polish, they are shocked i'm Polish too haha. Prolly cos i don't have white highligts in black hair or look as brown as a piece of toast ha ha.

Love / My Polish boyfriend fancies are Pakistani neighbor. What do I do ? [291]

umm_hottie

hottie you seem like a very loyal and sensitive person, and now we can all see that you are a very attractive girl as well, so if he ever does it to you again you should just leave him because life is too short for guys who struggle with resisting another woman even though they have a beautiful, faithful and loving lady at their side. you deserve to be appreciated and loved, and above all you deserve respect so you gotta make it clear to him that this Pakistani girl has to be the last female he tries to chat up and ask out on a date in front of you because you do not want to be humiliated and hurt like this ever again. best thing you could've done was to walk away from him and see if he comes running after you, then you would be 100% sure whether he was just having a bit of a confidence breakdown and checking if he's still got 'it' to pull another girl, or if he's not as involved in your relationship as much as you are and he's trying to replace you asap. you can't just let him off the hook for this, this has to be a one off. don't want you coming back here again after a few weeks/months with the same problem, just a different girl involved.

sorry for the rant, i feel for you cos i've been in a similar situation before, but the guy got dumped and he was pleading and begging at my door to forgive him. result ha ha.

Language / "just" and "either" in Polish [17]

There are certain things I can say and translate when I see a sentence but theres so many ambigious words in Polish that Im going to need it for a while yet.

i'm not telling you to stop using the dictionary lol, please use it by all means. but you must know that it's not all about finding the right translation for words, it's about knowing how to put a correct sentence together. that's where knowledge of the lovely Polish grammar comes handy ;)

Language / "just" and "either" in Polish [17]

Ok, but my dictionary says either: either....or....albo, so thats where I got that from

when it's either this or that then either can be albo, as in albo to albo tamto. but either itself is ani.

i can tell you used a dictionary to translate these sentences, people should realise that translating things word by word is hardly ever a good idea...

What is wrong with many polish girls?

just cos they don't want you or some weirdos from Africa, there is something wrong with them? typical attitude of a rejected little puppy, boo hoo.

Love / My Polish boyfriend fancies are Pakistani neighbor. What do I do ? [291]

he says he cant help how he feels and he tried to break up with me but i begged him to take me back as i told him it wont bother me that he likes her but it does.

how old are you? your boyfriend obviously doesn't love you very much if he's so open about his feelings (or more like his lust) for another girl after 3 yrs of living with you. i just don't understand why it's you begging him not to dump you, if he's not sorry for his words and actions then it looks like your relationship might be over and really you should let him go. i'd just kick out the tw*t and tell him to move next door with the other girl. what a feckin pig.

oh and by the way, the fact she's pakistani is totally irrelevant here. asian women can be hot too. not for very long though haha ;).

UK, Ireland / Polish is suing because she cannot speak english!!! [45]

ok, some Poles were scammed into working for less than half of the minimum wage. who conned them? a fellow Pole. this is brilliant. i think that if anything they should fight with their employer for the right to the money that wasn't paid to them because they should've been paid at least the minimum wage. but claiming that being unable to speak a foreign language is a disability simply beggars belief. i hope they lose, that'll teach them not to sign something that they don't understand. once you put your signature on a document you are responsible for whatever happens as a result, it's like complaining you didn't read the small print. morons.

I thought Skype was free? THe person I want to phone everyday has Skype on the home computer.

it is free when you call another person with skype on their computer. you can buy credit from skype and call mobiles/landlines as well at a very good rate.

Genealogy / How to find out if someone died in Poland? [10]

ask your family out there who are still alive? or just visit and ask the neighbours. that would be the quickest way to find out i think.

UK, Ireland / Phoning home & Skype from Poland to the UK? [19]

where will you be staying in Poland? if you will have internet access you can use skype and call your family in UK for free (as long as they have skype obviously, or you can buy some credit from skype and call a UK landline or mobile, check out the rates). i will sure remember what tele said about vodafone, cos i'm on a contract with them ;). i think you can buy international phonecards at the PO in Poland and use that from a phone booth/landline in Poland.

Love / What is an acceptable dating age range in Poland? [51]

i have noticed that people i know who at the moment are dating an older man/woman, always seem to go for someone much older, it's like a pattern. that mate i mentioned was in a relationship with a 40yr old guy before and after that she was single for years cos guys her age were never good enough for her. she didn't actually say 'guys my age are rubbish, i prefer them older', but all the nice blokes she dated, blokes in their 20s, always had something 'wrong' with them that nobody else could see, she complained they didn't pay enough attention to her, weren't there for her etc., so i am just guessing that older guys give her this sense of security and obviously as they are much older they appreciate her young body more haha. i dunno, but i dont think i'd ever date someone who's my dad's age, it's just odd and couples like that always get funny stares. don't think my folks would be very happy about me dating an older bloke either, and everybody would think that i'm only with him for the money...

i know another guy who goes for older women with kids. he's about my age maybe a bit older, and he married this 30-something mother of 2 when he was 19. that didn't work out so he went for another single mother 10 yrs older than him. he had a few flings with young girls but he always ended up dumping them for no obvious reason. the older women he dated would be the ones to do the dumping tho! i've seen him with a new lady recently, i don't think she's much older, but she's got kids of her own.. haha. what is it with some people? it must have something to do with their childhood...

Love / What is an acceptable dating age range in Poland? [51]

my mate who is 22 is going out with a 35yr old guy. fair enough it's not THAT much of an age gap but that guy is certainly far from being a hot looking 35yr old. he's a scruff and a slob, always wearing filthy clothes and threatening other guys not to talk to her cos he gets really jealous. they are about to move miles and miles away, just the 2 of them... im kinda worried but there is nothing i can do, they seem happy. he's a weirdo...

i've never been out with a guy who was more than 5 yrs older than me. i look quite young and always get id'd, if i had an older bloke i'd be getting funny looks lol.

seen a couple like that at the post office today, thought it was a mother with her teenage son (both blonde, similar looks), but then he started cuddling her and i knew it wasn't his mom ha ha.

News / End of voice-over on foreign films in Poland? [19]

I quite like the lektor guy, watching USA/UK films with a lektor really helped me learn English, cos i could still hear what the actors were saying in the background, and many of the words i learnt were not, erm, taught at school ;). i loved picking up on the mistakes or censure, once i heard a guy in a film say "f*ck u, u sonofab*tch", but the lektor said "kij ci w oko" ROTFL... keep the lektor or put the subtitles at the bottom of the screen, i hate dubbing! dubbing is fine for cartoons (Shrek and Ice Age were absolutely brill), but not for movies. Thats what i think anyway.

Language / about "ale lala" phrase [35]

poland is a very sexist country

in a way i agree with that, if a girl is not ultra skinny then she's a 'pasztet'. my sisters ex would even tell her how she should look in order not to 'embarass him' (whilst all he ever wore was dresy)...
