HelenaWojtczak 28 | 177 5 Aug 2008 / #1I want to find out if/when my aunts died. The last time I met them was in 1976, in Lublin and Radomsko. Does anyone know how I can find out if they died? (They probably did, as they were born in the 1920s).
JustysiaS 13 | 2,239 5 Aug 2008 / #2ask your family out there who are still alive? or just visit and ask the neighbours. that would be the quickest way to find out i think.
OP HelenaWojtczak 28 | 177 5 Aug 2008 / #3LOL if I had any family left to ask I wouldn't be asking on here.I'm not going anywhere near the towns they lived in 32 years ago. I'm pretty sure they will be dead by now.
Wyspianska 5 Aug 2008 / #4RadomskoI live in Radomsko, it's a small city if you give me more details I may find out.
OP HelenaWojtczak 28 | 177 5 Aug 2008 / #5My aunt's name was Wanda Konieczna and she was the supervisor of the telephone exchange. She lived in a flat above the Post Office. I last visited her there in 1976. If you know any older people maybe you can find out? Thank you very much for offering to help me.
Wyspianska 5 Aug 2008 / #6One of my good friends live close to the main Post Office building. I can ask if her parents or grandparents have ever heard of Wanda Konieczna. If it won't help I can try with priest and cemetery etc. May take a while, any details you contact me private okay :)
OP HelenaWojtczak 28 | 177 5 Aug 2008 / #7That's extremely kind of you.She was a well known character for sure: when I walked around Radomsko with her, every person we passed said hello to her. There is a chance that she is still alive, she would be about 80.
Wyspianska 5 Aug 2008 / #8your welcome even though I didn't help yet :) I have sent you a message, have a look.
OP HelenaWojtczak 28 | 177 5 Aug 2008 / #9I wasn't alerted to any message, so don't be surprised if I don't respond to future ones!I will have to remember to check my message place, as there are no alerts.
