USA, Canada / Polish stuff vs. American stuff [107]

The ones with lead filled paint? Besides, what's the point of having cheap products if you don't have a job to buy them? What a crock of sh/t. Thank you , Wall Street

First off it's down to a country to check the products and ensure the safety of these imported goods.

I couldn't agree more with you, hence the reason I don't agree with sending work abroad, but there are never going to be enough people not buying these products to stop it happening, whilst a % of American citizens lose their jobs, there are still plenty that are working, legal and more importantly illegally that will happily play bargain prices for goods made in sweatshops by 10 year old kids, it's an age old situation, people get rich off the sweat off others less fortunate.

I'll gladly pay a couple of bucks more to have it made here. EU countries should do the same.

Me too, but problems still exist within the EU, like the fact England and NI are exporting jobs to Poland, this does nothing for us here in the UK but create more unemployment, the EU is a bag of shite and if we had a vote here in the UK I would vote to exit, quick sharp!

Yes, US sending jobs to China has built modern China

It's also made consumer products cheaper for your average American, which in turn drives the American economy, swings and roundabouts really. This does not mean I agree with the sell-out of jobs to developing countries, quite the oposite.

UK, Ireland / Can I marry a Polish boy and stay in London longer? [14]

bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/visitingtheuk/gettingmarried/documents/

Even if you are allowed to get married to him, I'm not sure what your rights are with regards to working here...the new points system is in place now and since neither of you are British citizens it might make things more difficult.

UK, Ireland / Polish girls in England. [33]

but I do detect a certain anti english ness to your posts.

Where? He's just another heartbroken Brit whose been fcuked over by some Polish girl and cant get over it.. His thoughts about English men not being good enough comes from being told this by Polish girls, which I find laughable that he'd actually take it seriously!!

News / Economic Worries in Poland?? hahaha [10]

Will be really funny when in 2 weeks time the poor sap that spent 1,000s of zlotys on his credit card loses his job! Just because people are blindly spending it doesn't mean there aren't problems with the economy...

UK, Ireland / POLES SUPERIOR TO BRITS? [260]

AGAIN, you impudently expect gratitude for betraying us! Unbe-fcuking-lievable :-)

Again you show your ungrateful manner, even now, 1000s of Poles flock to England and all they do is complain about the smallest of things...Pathetic!

Germany was already openly breaking the treaty of Versailles in 1935.

Mediation was going on, why declare war when things could be sorted out with out blood being spilt?

You declared the war on them in 1939 because you hoped that together
with the French you could get a quick victory (and you would get a quick
victory if you moved your butts in September '39).

Are you a war tactician? Were you there? Arrh I get it! Another know it all Pole!

UK, Ireland / POLES SUPERIOR TO BRITS? [260]

As I said before - I was simply stating historical facts and you come
back with your bullsh*t about some imaginary "whining".

The whining isn't imaginary - I can hear you now, whine whine whine those Brits this those Brits that...laughable really.

Historical facts:

Britain declared war on Germany because Germany was openly breaking the treaty of Versailles, we both know what date Britain entered the war, I am aware that German bombs started dropping on England at the end of 1939, I am also aware that Poles are the most ungrateful kunts to walk this planet!

More whining....I am now starting to understand why Poland is still so far behind, I mean look at Czech Republic, streets ahead.....I see rampant jealously in your post, again this is a Polish trait I am given to understand, Im also given to understand that you have somewhat of a spiteful vindictive nature, again this comes shining through in your post, maybe if they made whining an olympic sport you lot might finally win a gold in some worthwhile sport!

As a side note: What did we actually owe you anyway? You were just some ****** Eastern European country who had absolutely no ties with England.

LOL - had we wanted to save our empire we would have left you to rot, a consequence of joining WWII was we lost EVERYTHING!

Ever hear of the treaty of Versailles? Maybe you get taught something different in Poland...

Whine whine whine, the damn Brits sold us out...whine whine whine whine, poor poor Poland! If anything this thread has taught we that you are inferior and ungrateful...

Had we not got involved in the first place there wouldn't have been a debt, which incidently was paid in full in 2001...so Britain was still paying for doing Poland a favour long after the commies had moved out!

UK, Ireland / POLES SUPERIOR TO BRITS? [260]

Pray tell, when oh when, did our dear British friends "save our asses"?

In Second World War 382,600 were killed and 369,267 wounded.

if you include British and Commonwealth troops, the figure rises to 580,000 killed and 475,000 wounded.

In the Second World War 67,800 British civilians were also killed in bombing raids e.t.c.

Or is the above scotch mist?

Was it in 1939

3rd September Britain declared war on Germany because they invaded Poland, I guess we should have just sat pretty with our wealth and looked the other way!

I guess we are superior, Im sure at least we'd be grateful if another country gave their lives to help us!

How on earth have you manage to do that when your own A** had to be saved by Americans? Money well spend if you ask me

It always makes me laugh when I hear comments like that, Americans were just canon fodder - they couldn't fight, they had to be trained in England and Scotland before they were half way to being ready for combat! You were their to make up the numbers!

The incessant whining about how Britian sold you out gets a bit boring, must be a Polish thing, most people would have just been grateful that we got involved in the first place! !

I find it immensely amusing that people who make such statements, as the one
quoted above, usually live in rich capitalist countries and never experienced
living in a communist country. I guess they know better... LOL

Britain was immensely poor after WWII, saving your asses cost us circa £7 billion, we suffered a massive recession and food shortages...some rationing went on until 1958....So I guess we do know better.

News / Is Poland ready for the swine fever stuff? [59]

others have a life,

Others are blessed with healthy respiratory systems, the OP isn't, flu attacks the respiratory system so she is within her rights to be worried, on top of that she is diabetic which comes with a whole host of complications, so maybe you should re-think what you wrote.

News / Poland - a foreigner and a native Pole - different point of view...? [24]

A recent article on the news said it was the most expensive city in Europe.

With all due respect, 8 zloty is not expensive for a beer - I paid nearly £5.00 (£4.60 to the precise) in Manchester the other week. I do agree that there are nice bars around the Jewish district that are cheaper and in all honesty nicer and more friendly with better service.

News / Is Poland ready for the swine fever stuff? [59]

I can see the news is talking about it, and I've learned enough Polish to see which countries are being referred to, but can't see what (if any) plans are in place. I'm diabetic and also asthmatic so in the UK I would be considered at risk and a priority for a vaccine if needed. How goes that here?

My advice then would be to speak to family about sending you some Tamiflu it's not expensive, but from what I gather it's in short supply here in the UK too.

but i am sure they would get help from other EU countries if it got out of hand....

Im sure they would, but be aware most countries wont have a large spare supply of this hanging around, it's up to individuals in Poland to take care of themselves, that's what people in the UK are doing (when I say people, I mean my family, friends and work colleagues).

UK, Ireland / Polish girls in England. [33]

am just trying to know as to what Polska girl's feel about England (not about me:) as I am interested to know if they feel the same as I have been told.

Why do you even care, if they don't like it here you can't change it, I would imagine for the most part people are not here for the weather our food or our culture since they slag all of the aformentioned off on a whim, they are here to earn money, if they could earn what they earn here in Poland then they would be in Poland, simple really.

UK, Ireland / Polish chef jailed for double rape in Leeds. [42]

Yes it is him that's creating the negative image which the tabloids then take and multiply tenfold. The papers aren't responsible for his actions but they are responsible for their own and they should be aware that for some people tabloids are their only source of information.

Then people shouldn't go around raping people if they don't want to bring their country into disrepute. The papers are regulated to a certain standard, people have the right to sue if they feel they have been missrepresented, in this case, this guy was not missrepresented so therefore he was fair game! By the way most people use the web, newpaper sales are at an all time low.

Yes of course they should follow the law. They shouldn't receive special treatment but they do because incidents involving foreigners tend to be over-reported. So even though more of our nutters are in the news more often when a foreigner commits a crime it receives more attention. Why? Because it will sell more papers.

Im sorry but you are wrong, look at the recent cases in the "national" papers and you will see the vast majority of them are British. You know what sells papers? It isn't someones nationality, it's the offenses that people commit, I didn't even know about the case they are taking about in this thread and I go through ALL of the tabloids and the broad sheets on a daily basis. Besides, why shouldn't be aware that foreigners are abusing our country?

in albania, prostituted women are seen as lower

In the UK albanian men are seen as low, it doesn't mean we have the right to abuse them! Kind of explains a few things about Albanian men now, obvioulsy you think it's okay to abuse women since most women in Albania don't bother to report rape, you people wonder why we have restrictions on your entering the UK?

have heard stories of how rejected English women would accuse Polish guys of rape as a form of vengance

Have you got evidence to back this claim up? If you haven't then I would be careful about what you say.

It's also a bit worrying. Some British clowns who read and swear by the tabloids then start to just see "Polish person did negative that, Polish person did negative this" coupled with all the junk about Poles taking jobs etc. and all of a sudden there's an attack on some innocent Polish person? Why? Because a bad Polish person did something. The tabloid press ought to be restricted on their sensationalism.

Are you saying we should only report on rapes that are committed by British men? Surely if someone from Poland commits a crime, it is he who is creating a negative image...the paper isn't responsible for his actions.

That's right, they just like to highlight Polish nutters even though there are less of them than British nutters. In Britain anyway.

I don't quite follow your logic? People that come to Britain should abide by our laws, if they don't then the British public have a right to know that foreigners are abusing their host country, like you said, we have enough of our own nutters who incidently make it into the papers and on to the news on a regular basis why should someone foreigner receive special treatment from the press?

Yeah, that's the problem... they can't be deported.

Neither do half the violent foreign scum we give room and board to for months on end!

Do polish people no that it is illegal to rape n the UK

Would you like a 6ft broom handle shuved up your ar$e? That's legal in the UK, or at least I know of no law that stipulates that you can't shuv a 6ft broom handle up a fucktards ar$e!

Love / Age difference in our relationship. I'm 41, my girlfriend is 27. Common in Polska? [57]

The two cleaners where i currently work have recently left thier husbands for english guys. Two years ago when they both came over neither could speak english. They have changed beyond belief ( in confidence etc). I don't think the guys made much effort with learing the language.

Oh that makes it alright then :0(
