Life / How much do you HATE POLISH PEOPLE and POLAND [1260]

Hey, I kind of guessed you were the wife involved yesterday but I didn't really want to say because obviously, you are hurting. Can I just say, I wouldn't hate all Polish women in a situation like this. If the woman was from say, Bridlington, would you then hate all women from there and find a Bridlington forum? Nope. You hate this one particular woman and she just happens to be Polish. Don't lump everyone into the same catergory.

I hope you and your husband can get through this but you won't make any friends here if you come here and call all Polish women whores etc, you'll just get a negative reaction and that won't help your healing any. Otherwise though, people here can be very helpful and sympathetic.

Good luck :)

Was the 79 year old granny still married with a couple of teenage kids ?

I think you've become too involved in this. What happened? It riled you so much you sat down at the computer and searched for a Polish web site in particular just so you could blow off steam?

1. So the fella strayed... it happened with Magda in Krakow - but it could so easily have been with Donna in accounts.

2. So Magda from Krakow realised that she was onto a meal ticket... fair play to her.

Good points.

The saying "it takes two to Tango" springs to mind...

There are many immigrants who would pass a "Britishness" test with a higher score than some Brits :/

look at all of those grannies that fall for Tunisian toy-boys that feature in Take a Break etc.

lol :)

I have a friend, idiot that he is

I think you're making too much out of this. If he's your friend and the woman is gone, then move on. He'll already be feeling crap, he doesn't need it broadcast here.

And, I wouldn't imagine you should be calling all Polish women prostitutes or whores when he only slept with one and you don't even really know her intentions.

Love / 5 ways how to pick up (cute Polish) guys? [146]

Any guy who expects a manicure/pedicure every other day does not live in real world!? Perhaps you're thinking we live in the Pre-historic era. Wake up darling! Most women do work to pay for it, or are probably housewives whose husbands pay their spends. Doing nails only takes about 20 minutes.

Well, I'd say that every guy I have known has never bothered at all about whether I have a manicure/pedicure daily or every second day. The reality is this - nail-polish is infact, unhygienic. I work in a health care environment and I did an audit last year that concluded that people in my job had to wash their hands over 100 times per day. Manicure would be a complete waste then.

Plus, even when I have had a manicure never has a guy said to me "oh darling I just love your nails!". Frankly, I'd be worried if they even noticed.

So I still wouldn't advise you to spend hours and money prefecting your nails because that ain't what a guy notices.

Not painting your nails doesn't make you look terrible. Looking good is more than just nails. I'm totally realistic. Looking decent is a personal pride thing. I dress to look good for me, more than for any guy.

You can look as hot at whatever but if you're dull as ditchwater no relationship will ever last...

They enjoy doing this and boys like it too!

Wait until they are men then...

Oh yeah I should add, I'm a city girl too as are my friends...we all look good but it isn't for any man...

i'm a city girl too...and i take care of myself... but i do it for myself, it makes ME feel good... every guy who is interested only in looks, i consider as a jerk..

Right on girl! :)

For the men:
Try not to look like hairy, smelly beasts yourselves. :)

lol :)

Aren't you thrilled now that you know that you must get a manicure and pedicure every other day? Its imperative after all...LOL

Too much. Any guy that expects that doesn't live in the real world and any woman who actually does that obviously doesn't work for a living and spends too much worrying about the outside and not concentrating on what's on the inside (which is far more important).

How to make any guy fall for you? Be yourself, it's the only way it can work. :)

UK, Ireland / UK Poles attack Daily Mail 'bias' [33]

Well, when you look at in the long term you realise that it is better to have a known enemy than an unknown. If we unsuspend him and he posts again, most people will ignore him (as happens already) and he'll remain mostly insignificant.

If he remains suspended he will eventually re-register with another user-name. So I suppose it's a case of "better the devil you know than the devil you don't"...

Life / The Papaya (Urszula Dudziak) taking over Poland [15]

lol - actually, most people can't really do it. There are those who do it like they're in a competition and those who can't do it for anything and end up all over the place...

Unfortunately it's not just aging aunties that know the Slosh. Probably a large majority of females over the age of 20 will know this dance...I'm not saying if I can do it or not ;)

UK, Ireland / National Holiday To Celebrate Britishness Could Be On It's Way [83]

I don't see the point in a British Day because I don't think it would now serve any purpose. As I said before, it should have been introduced 60 years ago, then it would have meant something and probably would still now. It would have been celebrated properly but not now. It would only serve as an excuse (as I said before) for a boozy day off work (if you were to actually get the day off work).

so nice to see that attitude towards a day which is supposed to bring everybody closer together and not pulling away :)

You can imagine that's how it would be. Reality would suggest that it would most likely involve a bunch of boozy chavs falling about the place, insulting foreigners and saying "I feel British" or other such nonsense.

However, if Scotland did gain independance, would the term "Great Britain" cease to exist? Britain is, of course, an island in the United Kingdom and it's made up of Scotland, England and Wales. Technically, if such a day were to ever come to fruition, it should be called "UK Day"

Britain isn't a country.

not all scot's and welsh are so ignorant, or defiant about independence, some of them acutally like to be part of the UK, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, there not all anti-uk, some are anti-england yes, thats what you call close quarter rivalry.

Hmm, I was merely point out a fact. Scotland could very well vote for Independance (my views on that are neither here nor there). I would imagine that if Wales was asked to vote on a so-called "British Day" they would vote against. Even people who are not "anti-UK" wouldn't necessarily vote for a "British Day".

What would a British Day involve anyway? Street parties and events where we celebrate hundreds of years of being "British"? No, it would mostly involve too much drinking and probably a sudden surge on attacks on foreigners (maybe a slight exaggeration, who knows).

Why let the views of a few spoil it for the rest of the UK

You haven't been in Scotland for a while then...

public opinion

Is rarely positive about anything in this country.

What you mean is you agree with the Daily Mail. That rag is certainly not voicing my opinion and I am part of the British public.

Is NoImmi ignoring this thread, then?

He's in the sin bin.
