krysia 23 | 3,058 13 Mar 2008 / #1More and more Poles are learning to dance the papaya which is overtaking the world. A charity dance was performed in £ódź for the handicap.
LondonChick 31 | 1,133 14 Mar 2008 / #4wow.... so many steps to remember - the macarena was a bit easier LOL!
OP krysia 23 | 3,058 14 Mar 2008 / #6Country line dancing was very popular a few years ago in the US.
LondonChick 31 | 1,133 14 Mar 2008 / #7And anyone who has ever been to a wedding in Scotland will have witnessed a slosh, which is kind of like line-dancing that only ageing aunties know how to do.
PolskaDoll 28 | 2,098 14 Mar 2008 / #8Unfortunately it's not just aging aunties that know the Slosh. Probably a large majority of females over the age of 20 will know this dance...I'm not saying if I can do it or not ;)
PolskaDoll 28 | 2,098 14 Mar 2008 / #10lol - actually, most people can't really do it. There are those who do it like they're in a competition and those who can't do it for anything and end up all over the place...
MareGaea 29 | 2,751 14 Mar 2008 / #11New sequel in that ever so famous series: Killer Tomatoes Invade Poland...:)M-G
Mucha 2 | 32 15 Mar 2008 / #12I can't dance to save my life....I have no hope here..but if I get a wig like that and just move like a mad man maybe I'll be on to something.heck, at least it beats the "chicken dance"..
Lori 4 | 118 21 Mar 2008 / #14I think when I get to Poland this summer, the high school students, and probably the elementary age kids too, will be amazed I know about this. I found some video of this on other Poland related sites, too. Thanks.
Dice 15 | 452 19 Jul 2008 / #15It would be even more awesome if it was a " Papaya Salsa " (salsa dance) as opposed to a "papaya line dance".BTW, I can make a wicked papaya salsa sea bass (food) on my grill; actually, I think I'm going to put it on the menu for tomorrow night. How about a papaya salsa sea bass with couscous and some Pinot Noir wine. Sounds good to me :)
