Language / "Whatever" used as slang - Polish equivalent? [29]

What about 'i co z tego?' , 'no i co?'

Have you ever heard about 'rhetorical questions' ? They don't need any answer.

Well maybe there is another way of expressing the same idea, but with a word that is not a literal translation...yes?

Hell yes

Cześć Angelia, czy mieszkasz w Polsce?
Hi Angelia, do you live in Poland?

Nope. Ranj is an American woman and she lives in America.
Nie. Ranj jest Amerykanką i mieszka w Ameryce.

Witam panstwa serdecznie. Ja to Michal i jestem anglikiem

I'd like to see faces of Poles when they realise that they are speaking to an English guy.
Chciałbym widzieć twarze Polaków kiedy orientują się że rozmawiają z gościem z Anglii :)

Love / Are all Polish girls skinny? [85]

The best diet is called 'ŻM'... Ż is for 'Żreć', M is for 'Mniej'... "Devour Less' in English :)

News / Poland's Contribution to the E.U. [56]

Western and Eastern companies are investing in Poland (whenever bureaucracy lets them to :/ ) there are assembly plants, be it automotive, electronic or anything else, hovewer many Poles are discouraged by wages offered and choose emigration instead

GlasVegas... Majority of people are quite nice, but you can't let them take advantage of you, as anywhere else in the UK, I suppose...

BTW, as usual, this thread is drifting away from its main path...

Poland can contribute fresh and organic food, provided it's not prevented by other countries from exporting.

History / Poland has paid £68 Million for helping UK in WW2 [168]

You people really do envious don't you Grzegorz.....What ever the F--k that means.

Whatever. Poland isn't just lucky enough to be an island and unlucky to have Germany to the West and Russia/(used to have Soviet Union) to the East.

Did you know that after evacuation of allied troops from Dunkerque, there were only 2 (TWO) tanks (except those in museums) in Britain ?

PS: Sorry for errors. Hope you all will forgive me.

Erors fogirven :)

USA, Canada / Missing Mail sent from Canada to Poland - Black Hole [23]

I'm afraid you won't. Polish people in the UK sending their parcels via normal mail encounter the same problem - there seems to be a great theft in Polish Mail (Poczta Polska).

News / GERMAN PSYCHOPATHS INSULTING POLISH PEOPLE [95]

Bartolome, yup, I get yer draft, but even if the Scottish folks scolded me, I wouldn't stop liking them. And if they and me talked, I'm sure they'd lose their alleged by you adversity towards me. Of all the groups known to me, only the Brits are capable of such good-heartedness.

Hmmm, my post was meant to be with some tongue-in-cheek, but you took it too seriously. Anyway, you must be very persuasive, since I have encountered reactions like 'F/in' Poles are everywhere' (But, luckily, these were minority). Talking about 'Britishness', I think that this idea is becoming more and more obsolete with growing nationalism amongst Brits, or perhaps should I say English, Scottish and Welsh people.

News / GERMAN PSYCHOPATHS INSULTING POLISH PEOPLE [95]

God Save the Great British Queen! God save the British Royal Family from a bunch of media rascals keen not only on destroying Their Majesties, but also Britain. God save Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II also because of Her Great Kindness to us, Polish folks.

Tell it to my Scottish pals :)
