Haven't taken any pics of the VM medal. Looks quite sad without the centre piece.
I got the War Medal 1939-45 from the MOD but I didn't know you could get replacements for his other British medals, The Italy Star and the Defence Medal.
Thanks for the info will have to try for those.

My father fought in the September 1939 Campaign.
He was arrested in 1940 by the NKVD and placed in prison and then in labour camps.
He was released and fought in Italy where he received a Virtuti Militari.

Food / What is your favourite Polish meal?! [64]
Strangely enough we eat our pierogi with cheddar cheese.
When my mum came to the UK in the late 40s she could not get traditional cheese used in pierogi.
Now I prefer it with cheddar cheese.
i love Polish ser...

An upcoming TV movie details the heroic life of Irena Sendler, credited with saving the lives of thousands of Jewish children during World War II.

Just found that Google now translates from Polish to English and English to Polish.
Whatever you think of automatic translations it may be usefull for those who know very little or no Polish.
I've found it useful it to tanslate from Italian to English, at least to know what a web site might be about.
